    Joe Aribo would be interesting.

He would be catastrophic, that’s what he would be.

And that’s not even mentioning the fact that, according to Cawley, we aren’t signing any more CMs unless one goes out.

Catastrophic 😂😂😂 Tbh I don’t want Joe Aribo but it was an ex player being hinted at. We are still lacking quality in CM imo and I’m hopeful we still spend on that quality. JRS makes more sense positionally as the player rumoured but again it’d be an interesting move by us if it happens.

He would be 😂 massive wages for a player who has barely played in 3 seasons and when he has he’s been non-existent. Glad you don’t want him, I was worry for a second

Okwonko would realistically be a sidegrade or at the best a slightly diagonal move, and I can't imagine we would be saving much if anything on the wage front.
Seems a bit "played well against Charlton" for me, not convinced he's a huge upgrade but age is on his side.
Isn't Wickens a bit of the same, played well against Charlton? Not that you're talking about him but he's in the conversation.
Golden glove winner and made team of the season last year. Yes it was league one but suggests hes consistently good, which may not be the case for Okwonkwo.
Ryan Allsop the same for Birmingham and fell out of favour. I just don't see either Okonkwo or Wickens as great options myself, so we're on the same page about AO at least.
I'm definitely not suggesting that Wickens is definitively better, but I don't think we realistically sign someone who IS much better than either of them.
I'd choose Wickens over Okwonkwo if I had to but there's always other options which hopefully we look into.

I don’t think we’ll sign any player on massive wages tbh. Like many players I think he’ll have to make a wage adjustment or head to foreign climbs to get a good deal.

So i have been chatting to someone very connected, we are 100% after Okonkwo at Wrexham, which tells me Kaminski is going.
I have heard exactly the same as well. And Wickens is also in the picture.
Seems Okonkwo wouldn't be a universally popular choice but I'd be happy with either. Both 24 as well so a lot of potential to improve further.
I will not be supporting Okonkwo in a Charlton shirt.
Did we get an answer to this? I’m intrigued.

Contract renewals for someone? Ideally at least two of TC/Jones/Cov/Ramsay?
    ……..👀
    Jones and Coventry ?
  • A season-long loan of the best goalie we can get hold of, guaranteeing them and the club that they are first choice, would be my preferred option, especially at short notice.
  • Everyone slating Kaminski and then rating Okonkwo, Kaminski had a better save percentage last season 68.4% compared to 67.9% for Okonkwo. Okonkwo also had fewer clean sheets, more goals conceded, more goals conceded per 90.
Okonkwo is more like Mannion …. Good saves but makes terrible errors … Kaminski better then both
  • Whether people think Okonkwo is a huge upgrade on Kaminski or not. you’re potentially looking at a small fee and 15-20k off the books for Kaminski.

Okonkwo signed his last deal at Wrexham as a L1 player after getting promoted from L2 and is rumoured to be on 8-9k a week who we can probably get on loan.

Value for budget wise Okonkwo is a no brainer over Kaminski

So what you're saying is, it doesn't matter if the Kaminski replacement is a better keeper as long as he's cheaper. 🙄

Personally I can't see Wickens signing after Lincoln's promotion. He is also untested at this level.

Okonkwo has made a great save against us , but as others have said he is inconsistent

I would prefer a more experienced keeper maybe on loan. I am sure we would be attractive as they would get regular game time. I note Christian Walton played for Nathan previously , if Nick Pope joins Ipswich might he become available?

I’m saying if we have the option of Okonkwo and Kaminski I’d take Okonkwo every day of the week

Not as inconsistent as CL player name spellings😂

Let’s not get greedy now Ronnie
  • I posted on here previously that I’d heard we were in for Van Oevelen on loan from Ipswich. He’s still not gone anywhere yet but also being linked with a loan to Valencia so maybe one that’s a bit out of reach for us

  • How are we still talking about JRS!? Has there been any evidence at all that we are even interested?
We are trying very hard to get it over the line - but surprise surprise, the selling club are making it difficult.
Can’t say more - but v good source.
Wait, so we are actually after JRS? I would be absolutely buzzing with that. Reckon he would come back and do really well here, sometimes players just work at certain clubs.

Would also prefer Wickens over Okonkwo all day, think he is a better option and will step up to the Championship just nicely.

So there's a chance we might sign JRS, Wickens and extend TC or Jones?

    I think I'd cry.

If he last signed a League One contract, then like Campbell, then he will be expecting Championship wages as well so doubt there would be much difference between wages Kaminski is on and for what Okonkwo would want.
  • Think everyone will be pleased with the contract extensions, still one key one that hasn’t moved much
    My guess would be Ramsay

    Docherty, obviously
  • Think Coventry and Jones will be the easy ones to do and Ramsay will look to run his deal down.

TC I'm not sure , will depend possibly on how we start
  • Wickens and Okonkwo both good options and hard to spilt them so would be happy with either.

My preference would just about be for Wickens.

The way Jones talked about the RW, makes it sound to me, more like McCowatt. He would bring so much to our attack in terms of versatility across the forward line and the different types of goals he can scored.
  • Meet the Directors just started on YouTube, possibly get some gossip…

I think based on Jones comments on “managed to fend off a few things for people”, I think that to me says TC is who he was referring to

Even if it wasn't this hot, all this juicy transfer gossip would still be making me sweat.

    What is going on.
  • Appreciate the "hints" about contracts being renewed, but it's not really bringing any additional news to what NJ has said hot off the press.
