It's a car for the driving purists, it's a left field 911 rival, although a bit cheaper. Dosen't matter if they're female or not, they appreciate and know their motors.DOUCHER said:It’s a borderline hairdressers motor / female footballer motor but I’m not convinced stjohnshill isn’t trying to dampen the flames here to get the deal done (puts tin hat on)

How about telling the women’s chairman he’s got a hairdressers motor - do they really have a chairman ?The Red Robin said:

It is as fake as the football shirts I saw at the game I went to last Saturday.

Mentioned it a lot, but what we needed to improve was midfielders who can find out attackers. Our strikers would have scored a lot more goals last season if they’d been sent decent deliveries in to the box. Improving our midfield adds the extra goals needed.EastbourneAddick said:We need another goal scorer 100%.
We nearly went down through lack of goals last season and we have less proven strikers at this level than when we ended last season with.
Hope I am wrong but with no Kelman for a while, Dykes gone (not everyone's cup of tea but certainly improved our chances of staying up), Godden superb but spent 50% of time with us injured we are keeping our fingers crossed that Leaburn improves hugely and maybe Mbick can step up. This is not good enough and we will struggle for goals again if this isn't addressed. Mark my words !2 -

Wouldn't mind Tyrese Shade as a right sided option. Played quite a lot last season, would be faster than any player we had last season excluding Tyreece, and faster than anyone we currently have, of course except for Tyreece.
He is a tall winger, good with the ball at his feet, persistent and can beat a man. The main thing I have noticed looking at Shades stats is how wasteful he is, which could be very good, or very bad for us potentially.
For a bit of further context comparing him to some other wingers we have been linked with and currently have on the books. Shade wastes double or more than double the opportunities other wingers did in their best league 1 campaigns, which shows at the very least, the attacking mindset is there, just consistency issues.
In their best league 1 seasons:
Tyreece: 7 goals, 3 big chances missed
Alli: 9 goals, 2 big chances missed
Kamara: 8 goals, 10 big chances missed
Apter: 8 goals, 4 big chances missed
Shade: 9 goals, 14 big chances missed.
Significantly higher than the lot except of course Kamara. Could very much be a diamond in the rough type signing if he works on his finishing.
Main downsides to me are his age, just turned 26 and may not improve much and Burtons asking price. Rejecting bids of 2+ million from Lincoln and an unnamed championship side (us?), seems steep for what isn't exactly raw untapped talent.
I'll add the Tyreece comparison on the speed front and the article as spoiler images, as aware this post is quite lengthy as it is.

I am not exactly saying he is what we need either, but we aren’t spoilt for choice and if we could get a sensible deal, he could be a good option. Similar output to Lisbie who just went to Millwall for 2.5 million. Of course 3 years older is Shade, but he has decent numbers and a lot of potential in those stats.
If you were offered nothing or Tyrese, the option surely would be Tyrese?0 -
Do we really need 5 strikers if we are going to play with just 1?2

The info on JRS driving a micra is a few years out of date btw1

Rak Sakyi is a game changer and has turned me from completely negative the end of the world is nigh
to we could stay up !!1 -
Had a thought…although I have had a couple of beers.
These owners strike me as people that would read the #cafc hashtag on X. Particularly Gavin Carter who is a Charlton fan. So even if that ISN’T Rak Sakyi’s motor, they’ll see the excitement of fans thinking it was, and sign him anyway….
Wishful? Drunk? Maybe both? But I’ll believe it anyway.9 -
