Not ITK but Apter and Carey are both eating in my restaurant tonight, barely 5 tables apart and haven't acknowledged eachother.

    #divideddressingroom
False alarm they spoke to eachother at the end and hugged
Forget all of this, what restaurant is it?
Hawksmoor mate, I was joking about the divided dressing room bit just to be clear, they're clearly best buds and the relevant WAGs were chatting for ages too
    What about their irrelevant WAGs?
They were too busy trying to order more Aperol Spritz.

FWIW both only drank cokes and both like their steak medium rare, now there's some proper insider info for you to all chew over

  • Tasty gossip
  • JRC played well in the 10 I thought. You couldn't see Docherty doing that unfortunately

Medium rare Hawksmoor steak may be my favourite meal out…

I feel I may be the reason someone moans about the number of messages in the morning with no rumours…

Err, Kaminski’s moving to Milwall because he can’t cope without Lyndon Dykes.
  • Not sure if mentioned but Maynard-Brewer has signed for Gillingham on emergency loan from Sheff Weds already
  • Conceded 3 on debut too
  • I actually quite liked Grant in the 10 with TC and Alli wide, Grant got up to support Leaburn and almost played as a two up
Agreed, Grant is going to slot in somewhere all the while TC is in red hot form

JRC had some good touches but so slow he makes Carey, who has the turning circle of a tanker, look rapid.

  • TC JRS and Grant behind one of Kelman/Leaburn/Godden could be promising if that's the formation we are looking to play this season
  • JRC - has to be the worse player at the club - unfortunately nobody would buy him - he has no pace and runs out of steam - just wanders around midfield pointing at things - would prefer Doc in any position above JRC
Can’t wait to see Doc play a ball through to set up a goal like JRC did for our second.

Look I agree he is too slow but he has a knack of making important contributions (Birmingham away last year for instance) and he did it again today
  • You won't believe this, I was driving from Ashford earlier to the ground, I drove past the orange sports motor on the M2

It was being driven by a white man in his 50s or 60s.

I honestly couldn't believe it, what are the odds 😂
    Almost unbelievable
I actually slowed down and went back in the middle lane hoping he would catch up, but whoever was driving was going about 55 tops.

Same reg etc, was gonna take a video. The car I was driving has a dash cam so I am going to ask my friend if there is any way to get the footage 😂
  • Didn’t have somewhere to put this so kicking off the summer thread in early March…

Now on its 600th page. Has been wonderful entertainment. Chock full of wit and wisdom, and that is just my posts.

Apart from the club takeover in the Sandgaard era, is the most extensively supported thread in CL's history?

The one thing a takeover thread or rumour thread is guaranteed to do is see some posters with a very low post history count surface on either thread and often with an extremely different point of view. The fact we can now see this count on every post is probably the one good thing that came from the new forum look last season.

Yeah so as I understand it, JRS has installed a speed limiter so he doesn't get injured driving down to us for the inevitable transfer

No but if we’re somehow one nil up next week West Ham, and we need someone to track runs, read danger, and diligently plug gaps left by his team mates as they close others down, then I’d far rather Doc coming off the bench than JRC so it’s horses for courses, sometimes.

Well I think that would be Mwamba's job now, by what we've seen

It does seem the writing might be on the wall for Greg which is a shame as although I know we need to improve and people move on but he has always put in a real shift for the team.

I suspect he’s injured or leaving .  I think he’d have been on the bench yesterday to see a game out (not that I think he’s that good at that) - Jones didn’t know the game wasn’t going to go like that after all- we don’t often win from a losing position.
  • Wouldn’t be shocked if GK is a loan

    Who left the bigger tip?
  • Nixon bit is that Okonkwos wages are a stumbling block for any loan move, we've enquired along with Bolton and Leicester.

I actually hope we do a loan keeper. It's so late in the window we aren't gonna get someone good on our budget. Don't wanna end up with someone better than what we have but who has mistakes in him and so we are in exactly the same position in a years time. Looking for an upgrade but needing to offload someone first.

That said, he was there with his boots yesterday.

A loan would be odd as he's in the last year of his contract. Would have thought Wrexham would push for a transfer.

But you're assuming Nixon is actually aware of that, which seems unlikely.
  • Next week, away to Wet Spam, Doc will be on the bench. I'd lay odds on it.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't on the bench for most, if not all, of our away games. Exactly the right man to come on when things are tough. Especially for his leadership. Which I've never seen a stat for...
