What was the snapchat thing? Dont understand it0

Not saying he couldn’t do it and be successful, just that he isn’t that player yet and if we had the money, not saying this window, would rather buy someone that has played that position as they’re 1st position.Gisappointed said:
He is already doing half the job, coming off the wing deep to gather the ball, turning and driving forward or laying off. We know he can press. The putting players in, is an unknown, but the benefit of signing experienced players is that they can play multiple roles.Sword65pf said:
No agree, but that’s a completely new discussion, how effective would Grant be at it?robinofottershaw said:
Oh, I agree with you regarding Knibbs. But I wouldn’t didmiss the idea of Grant eventually playing in his position.Sword65pf said:
Carey has a lot to improve on no doubt, but people calling for Knibbs to replace him is absolutely barmy, Knibbs if he did get a chance has a damn site more to prove than Carey, which is why Carey should be keeping his place. If Carey did all things people suggest he improves on, he wouldn’t be wearing a Charlton shirt for long. This isn’t football manager where you just try things out and hope it works, over all Knibbs has be a bit of a let down for us, I was expecting more of him, he hasn’t really produced enough yet.robinofottershaw said:
All people are saying is that he could be better if occasionally when he is carrying the ball upfield he looked up and tried to lay off a pass to a teammate before he gets blocked off. He has some good attributes but there is room for improvement.Sword65pf said:Carey is still young and will get better, I find it a bit ingenuous that people are focusing on the part of his season that dropped off, over the absolutely blinding part of the season he had, this indicates he has the quality and deserves a bit of support and trust. He is still the best we have in his position at the moment and IMO should start until someone challenges and does better than him. Not sure who people think is available that is better than him. Also can’t believe after 3 wins people are considering changing the team for our league games.
It may sound overcritical given his good performances in the past 3 games, but I don’t think it is unfair to also say that Campbell still needs to improve on his crosses not that he had many opportunities against West Ham.0 -
Who?JustCharlton said:So.... when's this Rak-Sakyi guy coming then...0 -
I don't see JRS signing if that's the case.0
-
Palace FB page saying JRS will be joining Charlton as a deal has been agreed l..all wishing him well5
-
Wish JRS would make a bit of a fuss and get this moved along and finalised for the sanity of this forum2
-
So what we are saying is, ‘Palarse, we’ll give you X for JRS’ they say, ‘yes; happy for you to speak to the player and agree personal terms’We agree the personal terms, and Palarse then go ‘we won’t do the deal just incase something better comes along’I’m sorry, I’m not buying that. I’m confident that we are in pole position and it’s just a matter of when, not if.4
-
I don’t see us waiting as suggested, it has the knock on effect, whoever we go for instead knows they are plan B and they aren’t going to hang around to the last minute?, can only assume a loan would be plan B and maybe on hold if JRS don’t work out. Not ideal for us at all.2

Can’t believe I’m typing this, but are they? They want to get the highest fee possible, so they’re going to try to do that by waiting it out.The Red Robin said:Palace being c*nts. Who knew.3 -
And I'll be telling them.that at 22.59 on Sept 1st our offer is reduced to £2m.AS1987 said:From a source at Palace, I am told that both Charlton and Palace have agreed a deal for JRS and that JRS has also agreed terms with us.
Apparently, everything is ready to go, but Palace are holding off in the hope that a bigger bid comes in. If no bid comes in by the end of transfer deadline day, he will be joining us.
See how they like them apples.9 -

Maybe NJ should call their bluff and give them a deadline of say Wednesday at 5pm or the deal is off, if there is indeed one anyway...or we could find ourselves Up the creek without a paddle come 11pm next Tuesday...2

@clb74 still thinks you can get a 5-bed detached down there for 50kEugenesAxe said:

or tell them our offer reduces by £250,000 per day. See how long they string it out then. 🤪eastterrace6168 said:Maybe NJ should call their bluff and give them a deadline of say Wednesday at 5pm, or the deal, if there is indeed one anyway, is off...or we could find ourselves Up the creek without a paddle come 11pm next Tuesday...2 -
But other clubs are aware that he is for sale & that c£5m is an acceptable price. Unless Burnley/Stoke etc. get a serious injury to one of their players at the weekend why would they not come in now.Uboat said:

It's fine to play hardball but there comes a time when you say enough enough. Do the deal or walk away.2 -
So, four pages of Carey v Knibbs with a bit of JRC and JRS thrown in for good measure.2

That's all well and good but ?
Time for a house analogy:
We don't believe any signature has taken place so we are still at the point where we want the estate agent to take the house off the market and stop viewings.
Gazumping can only happen while the property is classed as sold subject to contract.
You're welcome.
The double whammy of Rak-Sakyi and Campbell signing would give the club such a boost and having at least 4 players to rotate in the wide role on either Left or right will give impetus to our new way of playing with the 4-2-3-1.

If Burnley do bid for Rak-Sakyi i hope its via an email to Parish. He wont see it until January20

If Mavididi is going for 7million I can see why Palace might think 5million for JRS is a low bid!Sword65pf said:
£7m for Mavididi would be one of the biggest pants pull downs ever!!RonnieMoore said:Hull City have reportedly had a £7m bid rejected for Stoke City winger, Sorba Thomas and Leicester have put a 7 million price on Mavididi…. Just shows how tough it is getting these sort of players ..0 -
From what i understand
Someone asked TC on Snapchat announce JRS WYS "meaning.. "What you saying"
And the reply was SNM which I took as face value to mean "saying nothing mate" again, could mean something completely different, its all speculation and I could be way wide of the mark.
I've seen 5m floating about as a fee
I would be extremely surprised if that is the actual number.0 -

And your daily post complaining about the transfers rumours thread being exactly the same meandering and rambling general discussion that it's been for the last decade or more.sillav nitram said:So, four pages of Carey v Knibbs with a bit of JRC and JRS thrown in for good measure.
Maybe time to accept it for what it is.10 -

Can only be another club willing to include better add ons, you’re right no club is going to pay more than £5m when they know a club has had that amount accepted.golfaddick said:

Surely the ball is firmly at the feet of JRS here? He holds all the cards.
Simply says to Parish, accept the Charlton bid and let me move on or I will run my contract down and you will only get a development fee.
The general consensus in football is that the power sits with the players. If he is as keen to move here as we have been led to believe then he can force the transfer through12
