I think Holsgrove has been mentioned again on the rumours thread to give us something to moan about when it doesn't happen. It's all going far too well right now and we're going to feel so lost without something disappointing to temper it16

I'm not spending a minute's thought on this Holsgrove stuff. Unless we've suddenly sealed a £1m sale of Kanu, found definite buyers for Doc, Asiimwe, JRC, Apter and Burke or Knibbs I can't imagine a version of reality where we finalise JRS and get another big signing in as well without anyone going out the door. JRS is plenty for me, anything after that is not worth my energy, I refuse to ruin the likely JRS signing for myself by getting my hopes up elsewhere to find out Holsgrove is just mooching off to another club and it was never on20

Considering the flexibility budget wise the club referenced when they signed Collins in Jan IE pulling it from the summer budget, maybe they’re doing the same with Holsgrove if he’s now open to joining?

Holsgrove is as we all know very unlikely but I wouldn’t put that down to budget restraint. We signed Sichenje last season out of this summers budget because he was available and attracting intrest. No reason why the same MO wouldn’t be used to make a signing Jones has been desperate for all summer. Sounds like Jones wants that type of midfielder so we’re in the market for him or someone else. Might have to wait until next summer though to find one.3

🥊Hopefully I’ll get an update in the next day or so from the Holsgrove camp regarding his next move and will share thenI did see yesterday that Reading were wanting to up their interest in Kanu, so I wonder if they’ve agreed to cough up our asking price. I can’t imagine we’d be too short of offers for the others we’re wanting to offload either to be fair.Honestly it’s just nice to have rumours/potential rumours to be fair, especially given our already solid window so far & perfect start to the season. JRS has the potential to be a top player in this division. With him and TC on either wing we could do some serious damage. Thats without Grant mentioned or even Alli as fresh legs too.
Fait play to NJ and the recruitment team. They’ve really fixed our issues with pace across the front line.Really intrigued as to where this season could go.12 -
I was nervous about us switching system to wingers this season, but if we end the window with TC staying, Karlan Grant, Millenic Alli and Rak-Sakyi as our winger options then wow fair play21

I really think we do not need JRS. His record is not that great/overrated and we have Godden, Leaburn, Grant, MBick and TC. Better to strengthen elsewhere.
Charlton - League 1: 15 goals in 43 games
Sheff United: 7 goals in 34 games
Obscure Turkish team: 4 goals in 11 games
Stoke: 2 goals in 15
