A certain Jordan Holsgrove arrived in London yesterday… No word yet on which club, but I’ll update when I know more.

Certainly an interesting development, and one NJ has been desperate for all summer…

I wouldn’t mind seeing both Doc & Knibbs out the door if this is the case (in the nicest possible way) 👍🏻
I think it would be Doc and Costello probably. If Holsgrove signs then Costello will barely get on the pitch
    Barely???
If we have Holsgrove, Chalobah, Ouma and Coventry then Costello would barely play. Mwamba came on before him on Saturday too and we won’t want to block his minutes. I think the only way we’d be able to sign Holsgrove is if we can shift Costello or Knibbs and Costello would definitely be the one we wanted to move on, it’s just finding a taker

Any value in it for us or CPFC to structure it as a loan with a £3.5m loan fee, and then a pre contract agreement between us and JRS? Thats the only rationale I could see for a loan
I think this would be illegal.

He can’t sign a pre contract with us as we’re in the same country.
    Illegal?!

Christ man have you got well-placed sources at Border Force as well?!
We've all read the user name as St Johns Hill, but its St John Shill.

He's paid by the almighty to post on this forum, using his omnipotent powers to make us believe.

@stjohnshill tell the big man we will all convert if we are Champions League finalists in 28/29.

Wasn't Tash fan liaison at the club or some such?

I haven't seen her posting any unsubstantiated rumours over the summer so I figure the info she has must be accurate, and she's doing something with Sky Sports too?
No, but she was/is involved with Her Game Too at Charlton
Was. A couple of years ago.
    Source?😉

Did his Dad not play for Millwall? (Holsgrove). Could be his destination.

Don't forget though everyone, the owners are just looking to sell and aren't interested in developing us as a club.

They're just doing really really good things for the club, but never forget they don't give a shit.

    Bastards
I don’t think they have to be mutually exclusive.

It’s clear there’s a keenness to sell, but that is not putting a hard stop on funding squad building, which ultimately is probably raising the value the club.
Not sure that is "clear" at all.

They said months ago they were looking to sell a minority stake and they haven't changed their public stance on that. Funny enough Palace and Liverpool have said the same.

We are clearly running at a loss, and a bigger one than I expected if what I was told is the case, but deals are being financed, Jones hasn't walked and we're going for Cat 1 for the academy.
Doesn’t make it true, and it’s not the full truth. However, that’s no reason not to build value.
Perhaps but it doesn't make it false either.

Whichever it is, it's not "clear".

Loads of medicals for teams around the country take place in London. I think it’s a remain calm moment imo.

    Would be lovely though…

Surely we don't have enough powder for JRS and Holsgrove?

TC contract renewal is a great bit of business for the club. Based on last season I wasn’t sure if he was able to do it consistently at this level, but with the caveat that we weren’t built to attack as a team, and he was the only player we could rely on to try and take players on.

This season, with the change in formation and additions of Grant, Alli and potentially JRS, that burden will be shared.  In addition, our injury crisis was such that he often found himself a very isolated figure on the left or off the forward

He’s tucked away 3 in 3 so far this season, all good goals, 2 coming against decent opposition

to secure him until 2030 is a major coup.  Either he continues to progress and delivers which benefits us on the pitch, or in today’s market, someone now may have to come in with silly money to take him off our hands.  An absolute win win for him, and the club.

If he continues this season in the same vein of form, you’re potentially looking at a 10m player in the summer

As has been mentioned, a rotating 4 of Grant, Alli, JRS and TC will be a handful for a lot of defences.  If we get JRS over the line, I have enough faith this squad can achieve mid to lower table and avoid a relegation battle (injuries permitting)

The only thing about this is... wasn't he supposed to have had a medical late on the night AO signed?

Repeated gossip is just made up gossip...

    3 wins in 3 can do a lot to change a player’s perception of a club…

Got my people to speak to Tash’s people, and her spokesman said ‘Done Deal’

Not sure how reliable that is though… :-)

Depends how the deal is structured? It could be a £5m deal for JRS, but it might be £2.5m up front, and the rest performance dependent, same with Holsgrove

Posting without going through 692 pages - anyone seen Holsgrove play?

Don't know much about him so interested why he's so highly rated on here?

Not a negative type dig, just interested, my knowledge of Portuguese football isnt what it should be!

As someone who doesn’t watch much football outside of the Championship, can those who have been following him share more about Holsgrove. I’m excited by everyone’s excitement but I don’t know anything about him haha.
