*spends a few £million*
- "They don't do it fast enough"
It's like have 15 odd grown men (not everyone) sitting in the back of the car asking if we're there yet every 5 minutes.

I can't believe I've lived so close to the Valley for so long, and not made the decision to throw my lot in with Charlton earlier. It would have been worth it to join this forum for the comedy in this thread alone, the football is just an added bonus!18

We're at home Saturday, so at least we don't have to travel...Garrymanilow said:
Also it’s not fair that we have to play on Wednesday and then Saturday, typical Premier League bias. Except Spurs also play on Saturday so it’s not that biased I guess, but it’s still harder to prepare for Preston. Except Preston also play a Premier League team tonight so they don’t get an advantage. I guess it’s fine. It’s fine.Uboat said:Good interview on Cawley’s substack today.Main takeaways:
Okonkwo is a great human being and Coventry is a proper human being.1 -
The only positive is it’s the same handful of posters every single time, so it’s easy to just skip past there post when see username.Gribbo said:Who'd be an owner -

Really Ronnie? - it’s dry for us on the BBC weather app for tonight.RonnieMoore said:Severe weather warnings for London tonight … very heavy rain and flooding expected .. up to about 9pm … could be interesting1 -
I simply don't want the rug pulled from under us at the last second.
One poster says it's 100% done, then another days oh no, it's not quite done yet. Until it's OTOS I'm terrified someone like Burnley or Wrexham will offer a penny more and the next thing you know, the deal is off. He's such a perfect fit for that right wing slot, I just want it confirmed so we can move on...0 -

Charlton is literally a village and Charlton Athletic is like a village, plenty of people know what's going on and we have at least one Mr Idioteastterrace6168 said:It's amazing the amount of people on here who seem to involved within the club in some way, judging by the amount of times I see the words "I've heard" being quoted...🤔9 -

Ask Nathan, it’s a summary of his thoughts! He starts off annoyed and talks himself out of it by the endSwisdom said:

I am surprised Spurs didn’t prefer the Tuesday as well as us. It is handy that Preston have good opposition and play tonight as well.Garrymanilow said:

At least we play at home Saturday. Preston are away. 😉1 -
A bit of a meltdown there, Garry?Garrymanilow said:

Yes I can confirm there is very light rain here at the moment but it's expected to dry up later, with 0% chance of thunderstorms here this evening.Oggy Red said:As an aside last night was the quickest I've ever seen people leaving a match, after 6 minutes when Coventry went 2 up, was a good game in the end actually.1 -

In Ronnie's world, he thinks he's in Plymouth - where it's usually guaranteed to be raining 24/7Mrkinski said:

Stay indoors thenRonnieMoore said:
Think the Met Office can be trusted to get it right .. they don’t do rumours as far as I know it’s been on this morning about it … and they now prolonged the warning till 10pm tomorrow so that will bugger the cricket at lords .. just saying could be a very wet night which heightens the risk of injury !!!FishCostaFortune said:
Well it’s interesting to see your weather rumours are just as fanciful as your transfer ones.RonnieMoore said:Severe weather warnings for London tonight … very heavy rain and flooding expected .. up to about 9pm … could be interesting2 -
I find it weird that Tash announces JRS is at the training ground, but in an interview given on the same day, NJ says we're no closer on that signing.4
-
It’s looking like a good window, much better than I expected. The only worry I have is midfield. Chalobah is the class player we need and has proven it in the first couple of games but he’s going to get injured at some point. Who’s next in line and will they be as effective, is this why there’s some talk of Holsgrove coming in?0

Stop Panicking. Cawley has said that he 100% wants to sign for Charlton . It’s just that these things take a little time .DDOUBLEE said:I simply don't want the rug pulled from under us at the last second.
