Yeah I'm not entirely sure what to expect now. Striker would be interesting if Godden is out for a few weeks as mentioned on here and I don't know if we'll see Kelman this side of the international break.fenaddick said:

Keep seeing people suggest we just don't register the injured players, but those people do relalise, (right?), that the club still has to pay all those players, registered or not.
There are budgets to be met and they won’t include being a paid holiday resort for injured footballers.
Collins and Billy may not have even had full medical assessments yet, if there's swelling etc. to go down, but, even if they have, unless I've missed it, we haven’t officially been told how serious either injury, and NJ famously doesn't tell us much about where injured players are at in their recovery, so there is so there is also a lot of worst case scenario assumption going on.
Either way, of all the injured players, as far as we know, the only one who looks like he probably won't be fit enough to play at all this side of January is Collins. So, if you de register a bunch of players but then they are fit by, say, November but cannot play until January when they can be reregistered, what do people think that is going to do for their morale and motivation? And how does that affect overall squad morale if they are sulking around Sparrows Lane?
It's just not as simple as just sending any injured player home until January and signing a replacement.
All that said, I don't know much about this Ogbene geezer, but it would seem completely fool hardy to be signing a player with his injury record given why we are walking away from JRS, the rest of our injury situation, and our, now, decades long track record of not being able to fix and manage terminally injured players. Especially as, on top of who is already out, we still have the likes of Bell and Chalobah (maybe Leaburn and Grant too) who I think we simple have accept will be injured at some point too.
Someone posted a while ago that physical robustness is underrated as a quality in players and I think that definitely is something we need to consider as apriority in the these last couple of signings of the summer. They might not be everyone's cup of tea, but part of why the likes of Coventry, Doc, and Gillesphey played a lot more games than might have been expected last season is because they were actually always available while more talented players were resting up in the treatment room.2 -
