Squad of 28 currently 3 more takes us to 31 means we need 6 out.Asiimwe
Doc

Kanu
Knibbs or JRC
then who else only one that makes sense to me is maybe Godden or Burke0 -
Jones explained how the team’s transfer plans have changed direction late in the window following Sichenje’s injury.
"Our recruitment hasn’t changed in one position, it has been well documented and we want to add in that position. Because of Collins [Sichenje], we need to strengthen in that area as well."

I think it might actually be a striker given how injury prone Godden and Kelman have been (a guess, no info!)MarcusH26 said:2 -
So bindon, nwaneri and reiss Nelson?18

It’s funny that NJ won’t say no when asked if it’s off regarding JRS. He’s just said again as he did Wednesday night “he’s a Crystal Palace player.”1
-
The Saka move not happening then???000__Jaaaaay__000 said:So bindon, nwaneri and reiss Nelson?3 -
Nathan didn't rule our JRS did he? Went to his default "He's a Palace player"1
-
So it looks like both Burke and Billy could be involved tomorrow? Hope we go three at the back with Burke, Billy and Bindon, sounds like a solicitors4

Yeah I'm not entirely sure what to expect now. Striker would be interesting if Godden is out for a few weeks as mentioned on here and I don't know if we'll see Kelman this side of the international break.fenaddick said:

DDOUBLEE said:I'm not so certain it will be McCowatt, he's a right-footed left winger isn't he?His main role for Silkeborg is as a left winger, cutting inside onto his stronger right foot. For the NZ National Team he is usually deployed as a winger or wide attacking midfielder rather than as an out-and-out striker.1

Or we need five out, and Collins doesn't get registered until at least JanuaryCrispywood said:Squad of 28 currently 3 more takes us to 31 means we need 6 out.Asiimwe

I thought I’d read McCowatt is good with both feet.3

Yeah, it will be this. Jones said that the news around Collins isn't good at all.ForeverAddickted said:

Knibbs2 -
Keep thinking McCowatt sounds like a whiskey3

I don't think we'll be so against letting Knibbs leave even on loan as it appears that Fullah will be staying put for now0

His agent was playing silly buggers6 -
Billy didn't look as bad as Nathan made out, something wasn't right, gutted for Collins, hopefully he can come back strong7

Only a couple of weeks before Burke can return and get injured again.fenaddick said:NJ's presser sounds like Koumetio and Burke's injuries aren't serious14 -

Keep seeing people suggest we just don't register the injured players, but those people do relalise, (right?), that the club still has to pay all those players, registered or not.
There are budgets to be met and they won’t include being a paid holiday resort for injured footballers.
Collins and Billy may not have even had full medical assessments yet, if there's swelling etc. to go down, but, even if they have, unless I've missed it, we haven’t officially been told how serious either injury, and NJ famously doesn't tell us much about where injured players are at in their recovery, so there is so there is also a lot of worst case scenario assumption going on.
Either way, of all the injured players, as far as we know, the only one who looks like he probably won't be fit enough to play at all this side of January is Collins. So, if you de register a bunch of players but then they are fit by, say, November but cannot play until January when they can be reregistered, what do people think that is going to do for their morale and motivation? And how does that affect overall squad morale if they are sulking around Sparrows Lane?
It's just not as simple as just sending any injured player home until January and signing a replacement.
All that said, I don't know much about this Ogbene geezer, but it would seem completely fool hardy to be signing a player with his injury record given why we are walking away from JRS, the rest of our injury situation, and our, now, decades long track record of not being able to fix and manage terminally injured players. Especially as, on top of who is already out, we still have the likes of Bell and Chalobah (maybe Leaburn and Grant too) who I think we simple have accept will be injured at some point too.
Someone posted a while ago that physical robustness is underrated as a quality in players and I think that definitely is something we need to consider as apriority in the these last couple of signings of the summer. They might not be everyone's cup of tea, but part of why the likes of Coventry, Doc, and Gillesphey played a lot more games than might have been expected last season is because they were actually always available while more talented players were resting up in the treatment room.2 -
Nathan Jones has said that Billy and Burke are fine but that Collins is seriously injuredExiled_Addick said:Keep seeing people suggest we just don't register the injured players, but those people do relalise, (right?), that the club still has to pay all those players, registered or not.

Big Bill took one look at that hamstring and scared the injury off.29
-
I didn't think they would be. Back after the International break in a month or so.fenaddick said:NJ's presser sounds like Koumetio and Burke's injuries aren't serious2 -
So if we play a back 4, Bindon is not a guaranteed starter if Billy is basically fine0

I think Bindon would be coming into play rather than being in the bench.TeeC said:So if we play a back 4, Bindon is not a guaranteed starter if Billy is basically fine7 -
