Well Chalobah was great whilst it lasted. Great to see Mwamba step in well. Hope NC isn't too serious, someone get in touch with Dobbo incase 😬

Even if it isn’t serious Chalobah is never going to play 46 games this season.

Be interesting to see if we do look at getting another striker in if Godden is out beyond the other side of the international break.

Jebbison an unused sub for Bournemouth but they've not really got the depth to loan him out.

I don't see us having the squad space in the 25 for another striker. We already have 3 senior 9s, plus Mbick. Karlan can play there,  and so can Knibbs, assuming he doesn't depart.

Kelman will be back soon, we can't distort our squad balance for a short term problem.

Grant is a more than capable striker too. Don’t any issue with puttting him through the middle if needed

Feels like our players are dropping like flies! Worrying! Lucky the academy is stepping up

He was here in '99; Johansson wasn't here until 2000... Jani Tanska would technically be the correct answer...

Think we always banked on a Chalobah injury, hence giving Mwamba so many minutes in pre season

With Ouma and Mwamba as options, its more that Chalobah was something of a "bonus signing" rather than envisaged as being a key part. Whatever minutes we get out of him are a bonus but if he’s out, so be it.

Jones says that Godden has a hamstring and is self inflicted... Think he's being sarcastic / funny because he's joked that Godden tried to sprint, felt something and at 34-years of age will learn not to do that again

I interpreted that as an out of training injury, NJ sounded miffed about it to me

Yeah I wasn't sure as he first said about being self inflicted so didnt think it was a training incident, but then when he talked about him sprinting I wondered if it was - Maybe like you've said on the Injury thread, he was doing training away from Sparrows Lane when he shouldn't have been

Heard he was sprinting to the front of the queue at Bluewater Costa Coffee. The irresponsible bastard.
He was desperate to give someone a high five

I reckon he was chasing dome skirt, Jones meant that he should have known better at 34, get TC to chase her for you.

Obviously, it was more making the point that we will miss his quality. Hope to see him back soon.

Surprised we’ve had no match day transfer snippets. We really have gone old school Charlton with our transfer stuff. Not a complaint by the way.

We all know what’s going to happen so not getting carried away but sitting unbeaten at the top of the league can only help on Tuesday as deadline day moves on. We might find agents actually ringing us offering players that want to join a top team

I heard he was late for his tee time so had to sprint from the car park to the 1st tee.

Hopefully it's not a Jonny Bairstow esque injury where he fell over on the golf course.
