Doesn't he much prefer to play off the left though?RC_CAFC said:
This definitely feels like the type of signing we would try and make.fenaddick said:I see Sam Edozie has submitted a transfer request at Southampton. Beths boy, played at Southampton under NJ, winger who has played on both sides...0 -

God knows about Knibbs. Definitely one we should be looking to shift, hopefully in this window and use that squad place to strengthen in other areas.NabySarr said:
What would you say Carey and Knibbs natural position is then?DubaiCAFC said:
They are not a natural number 10. They are players that playing as 10!RonnieMoore said:
Only Knibbs Grant and Carey …. Knibbs was excellent in pre season and really linked up well with Grant very unlucky not to start the seasonDubaiCAFC said:For me - I would like to see a RW and someone who can play in this 10 role.. I don't think we have anyone that is really suited to that role.1 -
Looks like we’ve missed out on Ethan nwaneri, just signed for dortmund.

It's nice for once that I actually would be very pleased with the window even if we sign no one today. Campbell, Grant, Alli & Apter sounds pretty good already as the wing options imo.4

.........for Millwall after they sell Azeez to Brighton?CH4RLTON said:Got a strange feeling Jesrun Rak Sayki signs2 -

I think there’s a risk of being lulled into a false sense of security due to our good start. Reinforcements still required at RW, CM and striker. But we’ll be lucky to get two of those three positions filled given that we still need to do fairly significant work on outgoings today.AFKABartram said:Not sure what to expect today.Still think our Leaburn / Kelman / Godden trio just might not be there, but that changes if Leaburn adds goals to his good start to the season, or Kelman shows he can link well with Campbell and Grant. But if neither happens, we are struggling for goals imo
Huge danger of me thinking we might not need JRS after Alli’s excellent 2nd half on Saturday. Can he do that consistently?3 -
Is it fair to say that Millwall already preemptively replaced Azeez with Lisbie and Arconte?3

Just a reminder for those that literally live on this one thread, we’ve another one here to cover non-Charlton transfer activity

Fair enough - Millwall’s recent winger signings felt relevant here as they were mentioned as potential suitors for JRSAFKABartram said:Just a reminder for those that literally live on this one thread, we’ve another one here to cover non-Charlton transfer activity

How do u know this, or have I missed something?Covered_End_Lad said:Collins has a full rupture of his ACL, certainly won’t be registered in the 25 man squad as no chance he’s fit before January and probably won’t play again this season.2 -
His statement says he's had offers across Europe.fenaddick said:
He says he's done it to play football, that suggests he's looking to join a club with weaker wing options than Southampton. I don't think it's impossible he'd come hereBelv said:I do doubt Edozie has handed in a transfer request at Southampton to force a move to Charlton.
Appreciate the optimism but I just don't see it happening.1 -

Still completely bizarre to me that happened. I joined Beths in 2010 and it was very much a rugby first school with football sidelined. Sadly the switch happened a bit too late for me, not that I was ever a good player anyway!John_Fitzpatrick1 said:

When I was at school, Wilmington grammar, we played BETHS and absolutely pumped them every time as it was a rugby school. Strange how things changefenaddick said:

would defo take Gilbert on a free can take set pieces and would be a lot more creative then Carey or knibbs in the ten.3

Where areking addick said:Not giving up on Knibbs after a mauling against Spurs in a weakened team. Ridiculous.
Has a lot to offer and think he will be fine once he has some more minutes in the league.
those minutes coming from. Costello-rankin and mwamba are being played ahead of him from the bench1 -

Edozie wants out, wants regular football, knows NJ
this sounds quite s lot like Thierry Small0 -
Why get another winger who is most comfortable on the left ? Makes no senseSwisdom said:Edozie wants out, wants regular football, knows NJ
