Wonder if Skipp is at all to do with Ouma not looking up to snuff in training
This is my worry, that we’ve bought a dud in Ouma. Shouldn’t judge some one on a couple of appearances before being fully fit, however…
    Ouma is a loan.

Any one know if we’ll potentially be going in for a striker still before the end of the night? Tall order I reckon but I do think we’re still pretty light up top, especially with Kelman and Godden currently out.

Would be very surprised, we'd need to shift out three players

Just watched this, paying attention to the movements and actions of the Leicester number 22 for both goals and the red card, and now I want our fax machine to explode immediately
Leicester got better after he was sent off.
The video makes him look so poor. Hopefully NJ can turn him round and the basket case that is
Leicester is the cause of his performance decline.

Yeah I agree with Fen , striker is off the table barring a mad last 3 hours. Even Skipp is going to be tight.

Think we would have but seems that no one wants Doc (surprised) or Apter (not surprised)

There is always the potential we will just not register players...... kinda like a slightly less expensive version of Chelseas bomb squad. Could be part of the reason budgets were stretched and the JRS money had to go into keeping some of them paid until Jan?

We wanted another winger/forward but there hasn’t been one club interested in Apter who would have had to of gone before.

But then you have a player skulking around who can't play and can't be forced to train alone or in a bomb squad. That would totally ruin the mood

There's also the fact we've agreed a deal with Leicester but there's always a chance it might not happen if they can't replace him, though I imagine they need to get as much of his wages off the books as possible no matter what

I do not understand what you mean. Do you mean Ouma has known for some time we wanted Skipp to take his place as a starter? Or something else?

There is not a chance on earth that NJ would let Skipp upset the positive atmosphere in the dressing room.

Skipp obviously has talent, although he may not of shown it in a basket case of a club for two years or so. Probably say that about a few of the Leicester players.

NJ must believe he can put an arm around him and find that player again, otherwise why bother.
I’m not listening to Leicester fans, they are the same as we were a few years, constantly negative.

is this the quickest we have written someone off, after one match against a premier team?

Skipp, £50k pw played seasons in the Prem, currently suspended for a red. Can see him being a big "I am".

Not happy. Rather play Enslin in emergency. OS is going to be up against Chalboah, I know who I'd prefer.
    At least you're honest

Where were all you Dobbo haters when he was playing for us... Because I can but remember only one or two.
There were always a few. I know the CL names of two of them.

Funny how we all get out of step with the majority liking or disliking certain players. I was a stalwart supporter of TC and Leaburn when most of the mentions were hostile. I have never liked Knibbs, Apter, Rankin-Costello, Docherty or Carey. The one who broke my heart was Olaofe. I thought he would be the best of the signings, not the worst.  I could not hate Ahadme. He was so comically inept. But we will always have Southend.

Only one of these I never really liked was Carey, even when he was scoring goals For fun, and Olaofe who when he joined was said to be electric and was much slower than expected, disappointing from the first moment seen but was improving i thought.

Still have some hope Apter will show he's decent but he did look like a toddler was okaying against spurs which was disappointing.

Docherty is infuriating to watch because he does so much thats good, especially end last season but on a standard day will comically mistime or misdirect relatively easy passes. A footballer, like Anderson on occasion who looks better without a football.

Skipp clearly has talent, you don’t play 100 odd games in the prem if you don’t, also only 25 so plenty of scope to still improve and get back to those heights. I think there’s every chance he does very well for us, main issue is I can’t see a scenario where we sign him permanently if he does do well, has multiple years still left on a contract supposedly worth 50k per week. That’s not the kind of money you walk away from.

From my Spurs mate about Skipp.
'Good guy. Solid. Won’t set the world alight, but he was sort of a fav at The Lane, partly because he was home grown, but also because he gave his all.'
    Why NJ rates him then.

I think Leicester are a crap side full stop, so it's no big surprise that Skipp wasn't thought of as any good, he just blended in with the rest of 'em...

Skipp gets the benefit of the doubt, obviously a good good player there but been in a bad situation

maybe closer to home and out of Leicester who are a club in free fall for one on the way up like ourselves and we get something close to the version who was a regular for spurs

You get Top Bantz from your MIL.

Desperately hope to be wrong, but in my humble opinion, Skipp is the antithesis of everything we’ve been building.
