£7m is a drop in the ocean in this league nowadays, Wrexham dropped that on a squad midfielder today
    Exactly. Pennies. Especially for them.

Heard his agent has been pushing hard for a move for him.
Didn't Cawley mention on his last podcast that Jonathan Fortune is his agent?

Skipp, £50k pw played seasons in the Prem, currently suspended for a red. Can see him being a big "I am".

Not happy. Rather play Enslin in emergency. OS is going to be up against Chalboah, I know who I'd prefer.
Christ, what you on now, you’re 6th username???

Get back in your bush ya cheating shits. Whether he’s worth that money or not, there’s no way you put yourself a striker down with 2 hours to go to the deadline (unless you have another big striker waiting in the wings ready to go of course)

If Southampton are bidding £7m now then Mbick will be worth double that once he starts scoring a few goals
Got to start playing regularly & be given the ball.
Can you play right wing  ;)

People wonder why we're not progressing as a Football club, not spending money at this level blah blah blah
Then when we get poultry offers for our kids, wonder why we're rejecting such bids
Tbf I’m not accepting a bargain bucket and zinger box meal for anyone.

    Disappointing if so
    That's his agents job
No. That is how his agent tries to maximise his own revenue. In a normal world, his "job" is a bit more than that.

If Brighton wanted him, how is Southampton an equally good reason for him to move now?

Especially as those cheating ***** should soon be looking for a new manager.

You wonder how so many fans of ours are coming out with ‘should have bitten their hands off for 5 mill’ but clubs like Southampton and Brighton are after him,  should all apply for roles scouting at their clubs seem to know more than them!
Perhaps we should play him more then if other clubs think he's mustard.

Find it odd they let Cameron Archer go and want an untested replacement.

Mbick leaving would be bad business even at that fee but made worse that we couldn’t possibly get a replacement at this stage.

They’re not buying him to have in the first team. He will be a project

Found out tonight Estoril blocked a move for Jordan Holsgrove today. Player and agent fuming and arguing with the club.

Not sure yet if it was us but he was in London the other day. Maybe we moved onto Skipp, or it was someone like a QPR.
Just seems like we are getting no luck if this was indeed us

Bid rejected from Southampton for Mbick, £5m+£2m add ons. From Tash on twitter.
I would bite their hands off & drive him.there myself tonight.

    Bonkers turning that down imo.
We could triple that price at the end of the season. The lad will be a premier league striker in a couple of seasons IMHO

If we can squeeze them to 8, rising to 10, I think it's a decent deal despite his potential

We will, he's back from a long term injury and didn't have a normal preseason.

Someone had to say it. I can see that looking very silly come the end of the season, all going well with his fitness and if he puts the work in.

We're not in the year 2000 any more, one good season and he'll be worth £15m+. A sale or two like that is how we'll really grow our budget and compete for bigger and better signings.
I'll be happy to give the Upbeats £20 if Mbick goes for more than £7m by this time next season.

Holsgrove won’t be a happy bunny and I expect he’ll move in January. Who to is another question.

Yeah when he came off against Spurs I said to myself "That's not the last time he'll play in that stadium." There's quality there, it's just he's only shown it at League Two level thus far.

I suspect we might have a look in January if he's still unsettled

In fairness, I just remembered they have Muamba. Mbick would get games though.

I assume you’re trying to ask why Southampton might be a better move than Brighton? All manner of reasons. Mainly that he’d most likely be in and around the first team squad rather than the academy, that means no loan, better wages, better chance to settle in one place, might have sold him a better “project” etc etc.

Of course his agents job is more than getting Mbick a move but not all agents are evil like you consistently make out

Don’t think he wants to be here. Hopefully our move before Southamptons next. To put into context, Millwall getting double that amount for Azeez who was one of the best attackers
in the league last year. Mbick scored a few gials
in league two and in the cup against the paper mills. Like the clubs ambition but sometimes you need to know when a deal should be done.
    Yeah. So do you.
