Quite shocked that so many on here don’t see the potential of Mbick.
6’ 4” strong, very mobile, hard shot, scores goals:- 1 in 3 last season. Lower league but that is a great strike rate.
    Capped for England U20’s 2025.
    Only 19 yrs old.

He is going to be a top top striker.

Paul Walsh, Robert Lee, Paul Elliott, Joe Gomez, Lee Bowyer, Joe Aribo and Ademola Lookman are just some of the players that I watched for a few minutes as teenagers and predicted top careers for them.

So far I haven't felt that with Mbick but maybe I have missed the games when it showed that in a Charlton shirt.
Before his injury I saw him score a couple of decent goals for Colchester but that was League 2.

Against Spurs it was Alan Mwamba who I thought was a class player and felt he is ready to be a regular in the 16 players who gets game time.
Mbick had one good run in the midfield area but was tackled in possession. I can see he has the frame and I'm looking forward to seeing if he can replace Leaburn at the business end of a game and make an impact.
Southampton, Brighton, Cowley and NJ think he's top quality so I'm sure we will all see it soon in a Charlton shirt on match day.

I agree. I saw all the above and you could see it immediately. I haven’t seen that in Mbick, yet. But I’ve seen it with Mwamba. That’s why I thought Micah could have done with a season long loan in league one but what do I know.

Didn't we cock up a last minute loan last year for a Chelsea striker? Hopefully no repeat

Agree that you can usually tell early on but I just don’t think Mbick has played enough yet to tell. But other clubs obviously see something and they’re a lot better at this than us.

Who’s the bloke sitting next to Big Nose on Sky sports? I assume he’s a former owner/CEO of a club?

Just miss Jim White, reporters getting hassled in car parks, Harry Redknapp winding his window down and the occasional Peter Ndlovu moment

Christian Purslow, director at Liverpool in 2009, had a role at Chelsea a few years later, then CEO at Villa a few years after that

“Harry Redknapp winding his window down.” Is this slang for something?

    Cheers @stackitsteve
I don’t know why they don’t put a name caption under him when he’s speaking! Not exactly immediately recognisable! I’d never heard of him! 😂

Yeah I only knew who he was as I saw the name when they flashed it up earlier. It just mentioned Liverpool and I googled him to see where else he had been.

On £1.25m pa. at Villa for a part time role, still had a hedge fund to run, you see.His actual role at Villa was to aggressively lobby against the Fan Led Review and the Regulator.
  • Lundstram was announced as a Leicester player 22 minutes ago.

Them signing a replacement was supposedly meant to open the door to us signing Skipp, so surely a matter of time now before we announce it? Unless there’s someone else in the building and we’re doing a double announcement….👀

Why does it always goes this late when we’ve had all day (summer) just to miss out and the whole ‘we tried but just couldn’t get it over the line’ stuff every year.

All up waiting for ages - why can’t the window just shut at 7pm or something instead of 11 with deal sheets… why do deal sheets even exist, means the deadline is actually 1am.

That's him, apologies. But now I have Ray Stubbs singing Peter Ndlovu on Fantasy Football, it is comedy gold

17 deal sheet submitted to the EFL, hopefully the majority involve us, will be good fun having 10 or so announcements in the morning.

Even if everything now falls through (including Skipp) we've had a cracking window including a very exciting deadline day signing. The only problem, and it's not so much our problem, is that we'll have a couple of players at a loose end for a few months unless they can go to Scotland or somewhere. Presuming Doc does that, we face the tricky decision of whether to register Apter or a self-crocked Godden
