It would be a development signing so can sign anytimeAthletico Charlton said:Assume the chances of us now signing Otto (Finnish lad) have gone?
I did read one poster say that as it would be for our U21s the deadline was na. But is that true for a loan as well as an outright purchase.0 -
I don’t think it’s accurate. As an example, Millwall’s is out as it doesn’t factor Azeez. Most deals now are undisclosed, and Sky won’t be factoring sell on aspects etccabbles said:Not sure how accurate this is

I'd summarise this as being a very good window - we seem to have found some good players for good value and of course have re-signed 3 major players which was critical. Slight down side is we didn't get the RW player which i think we will regret unless the young chap hits the ground running and makes RW his own or Alli does similar- if Junior does that then we have a major talent on our hands but.... The next few months will tell us more as injuries will inevitably hit some of our more fragile players, including some of our new ones. Ultimately, i think this window has gone some way to proving that you don't have to throw big money around to get good players and the perceived gap between clubs in this division is to a certain extent over emphasised by the figures paid. I'm confident we won't end up in trouble at the end of the season and if i were the owners, i'd be very pleased with the way the 'football operation' is going. Now we have to do our bit and get to the games in numbers - saturday was a relatively poor attendance and clearly hasn't gone unnoticed by the club - hopefully just a result of 2 big costly way games preceding it and a bank holiday weekend. And it should remain so. Doc as captain has been manfully taking the responsibility of keeping the curse contained but without him to absorb it it's better locked in a box and thrown into the seaRedhenry said:Number 10 is free0 -
Jury's still out on our transfer window. Need to see more of Ouma, Alli etc before commenting. Good that we tied down the "big 3" to new contracts. Still think we are lacking going forwards. In all our incomings did I miss the attacking midfielder that is supposed to link defence to the attack ? Is that Chalobah? Ouma ?? Great that we now have wide players who can run at defences, but can they cross a ball ? Alli had the assist on Sat but I still like a natural winger who can cross with their "right" foot....esp on the run.
But I expect I am stuck in the olden days. As long as we score more than our opponents I'll be happy.
Currently I'll give it 7 out of 10. Hopefully it will be more like 8 or 8.5 come the winter.2 -
Not really. Both Mesik and Ouma have never played in English football. There’s not nearly as much to judge the on as the others. Mesik looks good and we’ll find out soon enough about Ouma. Nkeng has at least played English league football.YannTheMann said:ShootersHillGuru said:8.5 / 10 for me. Definitely needed that quality right winger but we did try. I also think that I’m marking it down because there is no real way of assessing whether Mesik and Ouma will cut it. Certainly the former looks like he will but they were educated gambles. Nkeng is in the same boat. Having said that it’s the best window for years.
Isn't that the case for pretty much every football transfer ever?0
