Also maybe NJ did storm out of a meeting, but because he had an emergency or because the person he was speaking to was out of line and has since left? At the end of the day he's still here so ultimately, who gives a shit?!

It’s better for your mental health than being a miserable pessimist.

Oi! I am a miserable pessimist. Are you suggesting I am mentally unbalanced?

Very excited for the new season, great interview as always with Jones.

Again, surprised he done an interview after storming out a meeting with the owners. Was expecting to see Bowyer or Parker.

If anyone wants some Thursday evening entertainment before the Spain game kicks off, take a look at Reams’ comments on the interview.
This is the second time you have said NJ stormed out of a meeting with the owners. Can you tell us, or me anyway, where this has come from? If not then can I suggest you button it.
Oh dear, he won't answer, you know... @John_Fitzpatrick1 has just stormed out of the thread.

That was the rhetoric span from the other forum and on X. Total nonsense.

I will button it when you understand the meaning of Sarcasm.

    Sorry Tigger.

So the response to this interview goes from, the sensible, 'ah well, Nathan looks happy and future looking', to the wild, 'it's basically a hostage video'

Yeah, same as the two players we’ve signed. “We didn’t spend millions on them so they weren’t our first choices, doing stuff on the cheap again, we’ve got no money” people will project what they already think onto whatever the club does regardless of whether it is positive or not

I really don't get our fanbase sometimes, always looking for a negative or some kind of toxic event to latch onto and think is the status quo of the club.

We're in a good place, fans should latch onto that and nothing else.
We haven't signed a player in at least a day...NJ will clearly be annoyed with this treacherous behaviour. Pretty sure he blinked "SOS" in that video 😂

But you are right...people sometimes need to find problems in things.

I've already seen posts on Twatter this morning that apparently Apter's 100% out the door because of that video, even though NJ references him and his plans to be developed into the player he can be

Excellent interview with NJ proves that the nonsense being spread is rubbish.. he loves working for this club , he loves working with the owners who put him under no pressure and back him financially with what he wants to do .. looking at 7 new signings , wants quality not quantity but has told fans to be calm cause it’s going to be a slow window getting the players we want , as they have to be better then we got , create better and score more goals .. spoke about the new signings and the players we brought last summer now all will be better for the experience of last season.  NJ despite reports is very happy and loves being  Charlton manager as he said we are still in the early years of our plan .
Spoke about the youth set up and the women’s team who have also been backed financially by the owners.
Did he express an opinion on the Toyota Yaris?
Yes, he said it doesn't pass his height test. He's looking for something more like a VW Transporter.

'You know, I I know exactly my parameters are set out. I set go targets for the football club and did so when I came in
that I felt were attain were achievable if if we were able to have sort of incremental um uh sort of investment and
and they've done that. They've backed they've, you know, they've backed us.'

'you you're under considerable pressure every game, but I I don't get added pressure and that's that's why I love working for the for this club'

This is all you need to paying attention to, not random attention seekers on the internet.

For me it seems that ‘evolution’ for Nathan Jones means more of the same, only a bit better.
    I for one am pleased.
To me it means doubling down on fierceness, being a 100 minute team and finishing better than opponents, and if that leads to narrow victories but survival in the first instance then all well and good.
I don’t want us to go all florid and fancy, but plenty of supporters will want that. We don’t have the resources to be Versailles, but the brutalist architecture of the National Theatre will suit us better right now.
Starting by signing defenders, ones who are red in tooth and claw is a good platform. Narrow results with hopefully enough 1-0 wins for us is acceptable to me, we at least will double down on our identity, and Nathan Jones will piss off a lot of opposition people much to my amusement (but still harbouring a secret desire that we can become Brazil 1970😀).
Get into them, f**k ‘em up.

Not on YouTube’s transcribe function that’s for sure.
  • I just can’t shake the feeling that Brian De Keersmaecker would be an absolutely perfect fit for us.

I know there’ll be plenty of interest in him (Derby when I last looked) and I’m not expecting us to pull it off,  but I really hope he’s someone we’re looking at. He’s got everything we’re missing in midfield. Proper box-to-box, , good on the ball, wins his duels and has the engine to play the way Nathan Jones wants.

At 26 he’s coming into his best years as well.

For me, he’s exactly the sort of signing that could take our midfield up a level.

Probably wishful thinking, but he’d be right at the top of my list.

Might have been said before, but played with Ivan Mesik at Heracles - if that means anything.

Him or Holsgrove would take us to a different level.

    We will beat them.....

In the second round of the Carabao Cup and they'll claim it doesn't count cos it's not in the league, and we'll wank ourselves into a coma over it

Perfect fit for us, hell of a tight fit on the back of the shirt though.

You played with Mesik, kept that quiet, can you play RWB by any chance...🤔

Really enjoyed the NJ interview the only downside side was when he was talking about Josh Edwards doesn’t sound like he if fit yet and I think he said if he gets back rather than when
