I’ll die on the hill that Kelman is good enough. 7 goals in 32 looks underwhelming but he’s not played a 90mins ever as far as I can remember and a lot of those games are 20/30mins off the bench. If he got some proper service he will score goals. Was absolutely immense today when it mattered most.7

And those 5 or 6 probably will be ones who do go, hopefully with the aim of bringing in 5 or 6 who genuinely upgrade the side and that means the remainder of that list are the ones who get loaned our and 5 or 6 of the current starting team are then squad players instead, and so on.shine166 said:
6 (half) of that list were out on loan this season so you're not really replacing them any way and Dykes is OOC. If we don't bring in 5 or so new starters we'll be in trouble again so that list isnt too far off the mark. Id keep godden though for the experience/mentor role though if his wage demands are not too high.thenewbie said:
There is absolutely zero chance we get rid of all of those players. At least not this summer. Not because of their quality but having to find and afford genuine improvements for that many players at once is just not feasible and if we get rid of them all and can't get replacements/improvements we're fucked purely on a numbers basis.FAVADDICK said:I think personally, if your going to move forward you need a massive clear out
Kaminski
Gillesphey
Burke
Mitchell
Coventry
Berry
Apter
Tanto
Leaburn
Dykes
Unfortunately Godden
Ahadme
Taylor
Anderson
Obviously the loan players will head back, just means theres alot of work to do over the summer ( which i know is alot )
Over the next 12-18 months most of them will eventually be pruned off and (hopefully) improved on but it will be evolution not revolution.
We can focus on getting a few genuine upgrades OR replacing squad dross with different squad dross but not both at once with our budget.2 -
All jokes aside I am as excited about him coming back as who we sign to play on the right. He was a massive lossvalleynick66 said:Josh Edwards will be like a new signing 😉😆3 -
What about Mbick would we likely have him in the squad next season and maybe loan out Leaburn instead?thenewbie said:

Suggests nothing that he thinks Fevrier is that man thoughScoham said:Rich Cawley asked NJ if he’d like to sign Fevrier permanently, good to see he wants more of a one on one threat going forward. That’s not what Bree or Clarke really offer, though we probably need to bring in 2 or 3 wing backs so I wouldn’t rule out us bringing in one of them or a similar type of player.
In that position we do need it (strengthened) - more of an individual and one-v-one threat going forward, because everyone has that. That is one thing we’ve asked the recruitment team to really identify.”0 -
I'm loathed at the moment to expect too much from Mbick coming off quite a serious injury. Will be a wait and see how he does in Preseason but target an experienced target man him and Miles can learn from.1

Hopefully Mbick is in the squad, Kanu signs a new deal and goes to league 1.0

He finds a way to consistently show that all round game and finds a way to work with another striker opposed to a solo forward and he could be a completely different player next seasonPelling1993 said:I’ll die on the hill that Kelman is good enough. 7 goals in 32 looks underwhelming but he’s not played a 90mins ever as far as I can remember and a lot of those games are 20/30mins off the bench. Fevrier had a great game today but I don't think we should be looking to make it permanent at all. He is quite limited for me and has served well as a filler for us but let's not get carried away, we need to be looking for better...
I know WBA are operating at a higher level than us in wages but I would like to see someone like Callum Styles targeted for our midfield.0
