Not when you consider Bell Burke Koumetio and Sichenje haven’t always had the best injury records. Maybe it’s one/two more CB than you tend to have but in this case I think it’s necessary to do soFishCostaFortune said:
Maybe Gough will go out on loan, and we know Burke has his injury issues.roseandcrown said:If playing 4 at the back that is it sorted
RB - Ramsay & Danny
LB - Edwards & Ivan M
CB - Jones, Bell, Billy, Collins, Reece B & Gough.
Even so, if we are moving to a back 4, which seems likely, surely we are going to have to move on more CBs?1 -
I wouldn’t have thought so, as you say Goigh may go on loan and Burke is always injured, Bell is additional cover for left back. I’d say that’s a decent amount of players. Plus Collins and Gough have both played in DM in the past too.FishCostaFortune said:

I find it hard to believe Mesik, Koumetio and Sichenje are on big wages considering the clubs they’ve joined from.jose said:
Do you know the wages the incomings will be getting?RonnieMoore said:
Not really the wages we’re paying are a lot more coming in then the players going out .. plus it leaves key money for the important positions further up the pitch which always cost more then defendersjose said:Looks like we’re watching the budget carefully.
Over the years players we have signed from Millwall have tended to be OK without being sensational.
Cripps, Dunphy, Walker, some others I have forgotten.
If McNamara is reasonable he will only get abuse (being ex Millwall) if he isn’t prepared to give everything for the shirt.
This is a wait and see signing.
Grant would make sense being on a bigger wage, McNamara to an extent.
Hopefully we’ve got a decent budget for these last few attacking signings.3 -
Well, looks like we can put 'wouldn't play for rival team' with 'no player would want to play for that manager' in the nonsense things fans say pile18

He’s the family and friends McNamara is talking aboutProperCharlton said:jondon76 said:

I assume you don't know these family members?

Doubt McNamara is on huge wages as he just seemed happy to be in the Championship too, he must have been expecting to go to Scotland or into L1Scoham said:

I still think a chance Coady comes back att he end of the window if any budget left and a deal can be done with Wrexham. Good to have around the place and casn be a CB cover and Centre mid option.9

Although it looks like 4-2-3-1 is our plan A, I’m sure we will still see the 3 at the back this season in the tougher games and when we are trying to see out wins. A good pool of centre backs is needed7

So it's probably a number 6, a number 8 and 2 wingers left to get?2
-
Whether it’s a 4 or 5 we have definitely got enough in that backline in terms of depth and quality presuming Ramsay stays.
Hopefully we’ve gone as cheap as possible in the backline whilst still getting championship quality players to use the majority of the funds in the midfield and forward line5 -
Another defender. Another free transfer. Still no midfielder signed. Bedwetters assemble.16

Don't mind the last two signings, they're both very likely to be starting on the bench, but what it means now is, where before we have had to play a Fullah or Gough, Enslin etc to cover we now have two very solid Championship experienced players to step in.
And in their actual positions! No more Hernadezeseses!2 -

I think Gallen will sign him for Millwall when they sell AzeezChris_from_Sidcup said:1 -

That would make 8 signings Jones said we expected 5-7. Guessing it will be a CM and Winger at the absolute minimum and then may go and get an additional winger or midfielder if something pops upPelling1993 said:So it's probably a number 6, a number 8 and 2 wingers left to get?0 -

Your Millwall mate doesn’t happen to know McNamara’s family does he?RonnieMoore said:jose said:

That would be amazing. Would love another year of Coady, thought he brought so much to us last season that will be hard/impossible to replicate with another signing in the transfer market.roseandcrown said:I still think a chance Coady comes back att he end of the window if any budget left and a deal can be done with Wrexham. Or using our budget well and saving the money so we have more to spend on more important areas of the squad?Cafc451 said:Skint.15 -

Sorry if it’s already been mentioned but apparently we’re interested in Hull winger Abu Kamara2 -
How much would people like us to have spent on our back up RB? Because if we’d spent loads and he sat on the bench there would be complaints then too21

We need squad depth, and that's what we're getting, and yet unless we blow a load of cash on second choice players, the bores go on and on with nonsense like skint.fenaddick said:How much would people like us to have spent on our back up RB?
