    Hate to be pessimistic but there’s absolutely nothing so far this pre season to make me think we are going to stay up . We need at least two central midfielders , preferably ones who have a some quality . I also think we are severely undercooked as regards games .

    So when exactly do we play the team or the set up that we plan on using against Derby ?

    I think we have seen progress mate. Grant looks decent, Knibbs has over taken Carey and looks very good in that role plus we have a few new signings that we haven’t really seen yet

    Dont think we’re too far off it’s not like every position is a problem. It’s just the pivot is so horrendous it makes everyone else look worse than they are

    Chalobah and Mwamba are a much better pair than Coventry and Docherty. They always look forward but if not they actually keep the ball.

    I really don't believe many Charlton fans have watched Holsgrove play for Estoril much.

    I really don't believe many Charlton fans have watched Holsgrove play for Estoril much.
    Of course not but we have seen Docherty and Coventry play he could be useless and still be the best midfielder at the club

    We need to start making proper bids for players that want to play for us. Kaminski is a dreadful keeper and we knew this last season but he's still here.

    Lewis Wing much better than what we have in midfield. Coventry and Doc terrible. Ramsay awful. Bell not a full back. Godden doesn’t look fit. Lea burn and Alli looked decent. But it is only a pre season friendly, the result doesn’t matter blah blah.

    Fairly obvious to everyone that we still need 2 CM's a RW at a minimum. Let's hope the board make the money available or it could be a very difficult season.

    Take away the two goals, is he then good enough?, he won’t score two every week against a keeper unable to move. Thats what you need to consider before signing him, why isn’t he playing champ football at 30yrs old?
