Jones got the sacked after he stormed out a meeting didn’t he?Swisdom said:
But that goes completely against what Ropes of Jizz said over on the other place. I simply won't believe itRC_CAFC said:Not rumours related but the NTT20 boys have a 20 minute interview with Nathan Jones this morning on their substack. It’s behind a paywall, but they’re doing 14 days free at the moment I believe. Nothing particularly revelatory in it but a nice parkrun length listen. Does say that he knew we’d have to wait a bit longer for our key targets this year. Seemed in a good place.0 -
fenaddick said:Spent three years at Elfsborg, go ask your mates about him @ElfsborgAddickOkay, here it is."Good player for sure, Kenyan international and all.Slavia Prague paid around SEK 40 million(£3.5 million) for him. Not long after that he went on loan to Lech Poznan. There seems to have been some disciplinary issues with him too, like the time he went from Elfsborg to play for Kenya and then failed to turn up at their gathering. Evidently, something similar occured at Poznan. So I don't know if it's a player I'd recommend".5

If he’s a good player, maybe these issues are making him a bit cheaper and NJ thinks he can get him back on track?ElfsborgAddick said:fenaddick said:Spent three years at Elfsborg, go ask your mates about him @ElfsborgAddickOkay, here it is."Good player for sure, Kenyan international and all.Slavia Prague paid around SEK 40 million(£3.5 million) for him. Not yet, will contact the ticket office on Monday, my season ticket history showing not renewed, despite having 2 emails from them confirming payment on 12/04/26 and another confirmation on 12/06/26.Malone_Addick said:Have you received your season tickets yet?
Been a season ticket holder since we played at Upton Park.0 -
Squad spaces are the last of our issues. We have plenty of players who are not Championship standard, and who never will be, who we can drop from the squad. The basic issue is money.I’d be very surprised if we signed chalobah, Ouma and Holsgrove - squad spaces start to become a real issue1 -
S/T (physical) received but not Valley Express. Apparently they are sent out separately...Malone_Addick said:Have you received your season tickets yet?0 -

I know Jones has his anti loan policy but if Partizan offered a loan with an option to buy surely we can offer something similar. If he’s good we buy him if he’s crap send him back problem solvedElfsborgAddick said:fenaddick said:Spent three years at Elfsborg, go ask your mates about him @ElfsborgAddickOkay, here it is."Good player for sure, Kenyan international and all.Slavia Prague paid around SEK 40 million(£3.5 million) for him. Looking into Callum McCowatt, he’s recently been in the press saying he wants to leave Silkeborg & they’ve rejected a bid from Minnesota United

Wiki has him down as a Left-Winger?flyingkiwiDK said:Another rumour has popped up… Word is that an unarmed Championship side is eyeing NZ international Callum McCowatt from Silkeborg. My mate — a season-ticket holder there — insists it’s Charlton. Knowing full well that I’m Charlton and part Kiwi, he could just be winding me up, so I’m treating this with a bucket‑sized pinch of salt.0 -
Nathan Jones does not have an anti loan policy! Off the top of my head he’s loaned 7 players in his time here. His policy is to favour the academy over loans if possible but not to rule out loansCrispywood said:

What do you do with those players you can’t register but haven’t flogged to someone else then? Because they aren’t going to be a great influence on the groupwolfgang said:

I’ve always said the biggest thing missing from the first team is a bloke called Callum. Sign him up.11

I think he said in the past he would rather develop our young players than loan a youngster from another club.
Loaning older experienced players he has no problem with as last January showed us.1 -

When I was posted on Tuesday a signing was very close, I was told it was a black midfielder, but that signing was not Kamara or Chalobah which is why I was able to rule them both out.Redrobo said:Timothy Ouma
Asked yesterday if it was Timothy Ouma and I was told “believe it very much is him yes”

The loan thing is so silly. We've had loads of loans, and as I recall Jones saying that he'd rather develop our own players was correctly met with a lot of relief compared to how we used to operate because it meant our player turnover would reduce. We used to build out our first team based on what we could get in on loan, now we use loans where there's value and quality to add to the existing squad, which is how it should be. The number of decent youngsters getting recalled mid-season these days is a good indicator of why you're generally better off developing your own players2

Another mate has come back with this.He was good for us in Europe, but stupid, arrogant and probably wrong people around him. They threatened people who worked for IF Elfsborg(Stefan Andreasson)Good footballer but stupid. What my mate did not add, is that Stefan Andreasson is the CEO at Elfsborg and basically runs the show.1
