Carson was great until it mattered at Ewood Park0

Deano was better than Carson for me.4

Dean Kiely and Bob Bolder - the epitome of solid, both of them2

Bob Bolder’s display on New Years Day at Man Utd was unbelievable. Best I have seen!!1

Has Linda Keeper said anything?WhenIwasLittleBoy said:Who plays in goal for the Kenyan national team…surely we will have to be linked with him0 -
Any news on Kaminski, what do people think, hasn’t been mentioned surprisingly.0

Another hilarious post by you, how do you think of these incredible comments?sillav nitram said:Any news on Kaminski, what do people think, hasn’t been mentioned surprisingly.0 -
Pathetic this younger generation.SteveACS said:
Mannion is young enough to learn and improve.
I do think his morale is shot, though. The free kick he threw in his own goal, and the Wednesday howler, seem to have crippled his decision making.
I post on here nearly every day, sometimes 5 or 6 posts a day. Nearly all of them get derided. I get insulted, only yesterday someone called me "a charmer". "Likes" on my posts are rarer than dry farts in the Dominican Republic, where I now live.
Yet I still persist in posting despite my judgment being crippled, assuming I ever had any. Because at 86, I am still young enough to learn and improve.0 -
He may be like NJ and have a family near every club he has ever played at (or so we were told).Jdredsox said:
East Flanders, so even closer than Brussels. Although he may have moved his family over here now considering how long he's been playing in England.ElfsborgAddick said:Jdredsox said:
I actually looked up where he's from and it's surprisingly not as far from Rotterdam as I thought.wolfgang said:
He is Belgian. Sparta are Dutch. He would have a long walk home after the game.killerandflash said:If a club wants to take Kaminski " home" ...
Different nation, different league, though if they had any sense they would merge the two leagues. It would raise the standard and make their top clubs more competitive in Europe.
Then again, as the song goes, Rotterdam is anywhere ...
If he was anywhere near Brussels, Rotterdam is around 90 miles away. People would probably be surprised on how many players do a commute in football.0 -
And did he fool the ref by doing that?RedChaser said:
Dave Hickson of Everton can vouch for that after Willie laid him out at the Valley in a cup tie January 1959. He took his green jersey off and headed for the dressing room before the ref had time to get his notebook out 👊.lancashire lad said:Bring back Willie Duff, he could pack a good punch

Kiely has probably been our best keeper over the past 40 years. Only Scott Carson (1 season loan) comes close imo. Then Nick Pope & then (perhaps surprisingly) Rob Elliot.TheHerminator said:
Better than Kiely?ElfsborgAddick said:DamoNorthStand said:
Scott Carson was one of the best keepers in my lifetime.Braziliance said:
Not good enough at this level, been exposed a fair bit. He only looks good against us cause we have looked toothless everytime vs that lot.king addick said:Would prefer Okonkwo if he was available.
Not sure why he has fell out of favour at Wrexham to bring in other keepers etc?
Funny the difference in League 1 to Champ. Two seasons ago I'd have loved Okonkwo or the Stockport keeper Addai. Both looked class, now I wouldn't want either.
We need a bit better. I think the goalie slot should almost always be filled by a loan from a prem team unless you have developed one yourself. Plenty of times over the year a loanee goalkeeper has done a job in this league, and it's arguably the least important position in terms of tactics. A good goalie can just slot in anywhere almost.
I'd say that he was the best in my lifetime and I go back to '76.0 -
This goalkeeper stuff, tis but a diversion, until the arrival of our new dynamic midfield combo!
Believe!
