Noticed Doc and Ramsay posted their end of season instagram's yesterday, both insinuating that they will be here next season. Maybe they were waiting for that conversation before posting? Apologies if this has been said above.TheHerminator said:So it's likely that NJ has met with all the players now and they know their fate.
Will be an interesting few days coming up5 -

Will be an interesting few days coming upDoesnt feel much of a surprise with Ramsay though, given he's still under Contract - He'll know that we'll probably listen to offers if he's not going to sign a new Contract, but until that happens might as well focus on 2026/27 as a Charlton player.4 -
Why wouldn't they when they are under contract still....ButtleJR said:

Personally I hope we keep Docherty. Grafter and good personality to have around and next season I’d say a useful squad player. Hopefully our midfield gets an upgrade but I’m perfectly happy him being backup.29

Jones does seem to quite like to have the option of throwing extra energy and running on towards the end of a game to try and shake things up, Docherty would be ideal for that or a game where we need to disrupt a midfield instead of trying to outplay it. He's also one of the players with the most Championship experience in the whole squad.ShootersHillGuru said:Personally I hope we keep Docherty. Even with "ruthless" as the watchword of the summer I don't see Docherty being in the firing line any time soon.4 -
Doch’s reply to Lyndon Dykes Instagram post about this season. Could be insinuating that he is leaving.20 -

I think both Dykes and the club have benefited hugely from the short-term deal.
We shouldn’t rely solely on social media, but you’d think Dykes, Coady and Fev had been senior pros here for years. We need more characters like that, along with genuine Championship quality.16 -
1.5m ?! That’s not even 5 foot. Surely fails the height test?wolfgang said:
If only 1.5m, I would keep him.cafc_se7 said:
I’d be amazed if we get that much. 1.5m max. He has been complete value for money!Leuth said:

Heard Jones was very ruthless today,
Apparently he stuck half the squad in the sharpshooter6 -

Not surprised, he has wrestled with an all time great before...

Glad Dykes has not been signed for next season.7

Love Dykes and think he’s done very well for us but I strongly agree with you. Whenever he is on the pitch we play very one dimensional (long ball) and it just doesn’t work. When we played with Kelman as a sole striker and Knibbs with Carey as two 10’s against Hull I thought we played very well. Hoping for more of the same next season with better quality wingers/midfielders.DennisBooth said:Glad Dykes has not been signed for next season.5 -
Random guess but I reckon we will end up signing Archie Collins from Pboro on a 3 year deal.0

Heard locally a month or so ago we have looked at him as well as Lisbies son. Same person was right about Edun going there.YannTheMann said:Random guess but I reckon we will end up signing Archie Collins from Pboro on a 3 year deal.10 -

I mean he's out of contract and I could see him (Dykes) waiting until after the World Cup to sign somewhere given that if he has a good tournament he might see his value and interest go up.CB1 said:

I'm very much on the fence about him. I think he's a good player to have in your squad. I hope we can afford better, a more mobile target man. But I also think we could do worse than Dykes. I think some of our problem with Dykes was how we played with him, just aiming the long ball up toward him. I don't think he's solely to blame for that. But yeah, if we can do better, great. If not, I think he's worth considering bringing back given the forwards we currently have on our books for next season are all young and/or inexperienced at this level (Leaburn, Kelman, Mbick, Kanu, Tanto, TC, obviously we have the option on Godden).7 -
The big flaw there though is that…he plays for Scotland!!! 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️😉SDAddick said:

I see Purrington is available…5
-
Dykes could be hoping for a gig with a top Scottish side after the World cup. He might even get a a decent offer from abroad. International and contract free.

Wouldn't expect to see Dykes back. Think he'll end up in the SPL or a midlands L1 side. But we do need someone to replace his experience.4
