Ah yes, let’s spend c£40 to make an asset worth c£60-80m, but rather than sell up we’ll just let them go down the pan 🤣

Someone in some Facebook group my wife is on, Charlton Valiants ?, reckons we have signed that guy with a double barrelled surname that Bolton released on a three year deal.

I can imagine something like that. We need two options for the RWB slot and currently have none. We aren’t gonna spend a tonne on a player who could in reality be a back up to someone else.

EDIT - Someone on Bolton life also claiming this. Initial feedback is they are disappointed to lose him and suggest it must be the players call if he has signed for us

Not sure how’d I feel about Osei-Tutu, slightly worried we’re signing players that a club promoted from L1 doesn’t want but at the same time signing a top end L1 RWB in his prime for cheap as a squad player is very sensible busine

How do you know Bolton didn’t want him? Maybe he was released as he told them he wouldn’t sign a new deal?

“George Johnston, Kyle Dempsey and Jordi Osei-Tutu are to end their time at Wanderers as they leave the club as free agents this summer.

The trio have not been offered new contracts and will be released along with Carlos Mendes Gomes – who spent the majority of the 2025/26 season on loan at Exeter City – from the first-team squad.”

Looked good in the playoff final.

Wouldn't mind Osei-Tutu as depth although I would expect that would put an end to signing Fevrier.

That Ryan who's posted that rumour - When we signed Stephen Henderson in 2021, he said that he didn't know much about him, despite the fact he was our number 1 in 2016...

I'd rather his brother Desmond. At least we would be scoring two goals a game?

I mean Fevrier was a WB that am L1 team didn't want and he looked decent enough so it's not necessarily as bad as all that.

With the caveat that I'd definitely be a bit concerned if we signed him and Fevrier as our main WB options. Dipping into L1 for the odd player here and there is one thing but signing both would look like a bit of a pattern and not one I'd be overly thrilled with.

Saw this X screenshot on another Facebook group saying we’re paying £950k for a player Bolton have released…

He would be on a free …. So that knocks that story out the water

He's 27 and only joined Bolton a couple of years ago.

Just had a very quick squint at a Bolton fans forum and although JOT isn’t the focus of much attention there are comments that generally point to fans being disappointed that he’s leaving. I also glean from it that he hasn’t been offered anything new and has been released rather than contract talks not going anywhere. I’m guessing if he is signing for us that he’s been on the clubs list for a while and him being a free agent means we’ve moved quickly. NJ and PC obviously like something about him so I’m happy but like others I’m slightly concerned that he’s anything other than squad depth at this point. Looks like he’s a winger both left and right and also a Right Back when needed. Don’t see both him and Fevrier being in the squad and I just wonder if he’s a replacement option for TC ? All speculation on my part as of course his link to us could be way off the mark. Arsenal Academy graduate so perhaps a return to London could suit him.

We need left sided cover, and someone who can defend, which Fev didn’t convince me with
