Same team that beat Birmingham for me, don't see why we can't get a point. If things don't go well early on and it's clear we'll lose, then take off Jones, Bell.

I wish to "like" your post without expressing an opinion on whether we should rest Jones. How can I do that?
If you don’t have an opinion about the matter, then just ignore it, liking the post is all about a matter of opinion that’s about it.,.🤷‍♂️

I’m thinking this is a free hit . I’d be happy avoiding a big defeat , injuries or a Yellow to Jones . In fact I’d probably not start him because of that .
    3-1 defeat ( Carey)
Jones will avoid the yellow and therefore  a ban, but will roll his ankle in the last minute, do his ligaments and miss the rest of the  season :-(

Bring me sunshine in your smile ...........

Soapy, it's all about getting an opinion, should anyone feel that way, then just go back to the post tomorrow and remove the Like/LOL, easy really...

It's running 50/50 so far by the way...

The scheduling of our longest away trip 3 days before a 12.15 ko is nuts. Don't know if they can do it but the club should put in a complaint and insist it doesn't happen again.

The mechanics of the teams travel fascinates me. Do they travel up Tuesday and stay the night or go up on the Wednesday? If the latter, however they choose to travel - even flying - is going to mean a relatively early start.

Do they stay up there after the game and have a relatively comfortable journey back on the Thursday? If they come back after the match, I doubt anyone will be back in bed much before 4am. Hardly the perfect preparation for a game in 2 days time. Either way leaves only one full day preparation for the vital Oxford game.

Anyone know what the team is actually doing as regards travelling?
He said they were going up Tuesday night to stay over. Afterwards he said Thursday would be the recovery day, I wasn't sure if he meant they would go back Wed eve and have Thurs off or that they would travel back Thurs and not do anything else. He mentioned we aren't one of the teams that can afford to fly, so it's a coach there and back
For the journey up on the day I would have thought a train would be better, fast trains out of Kings X…….about 3 hours.
Of course I doubt a journey back wouldn’t be feasible until Thursday morning.
    It’s a bloody long way by coach.☹️

Can't see anything but a home win. However, Oxford went there and got a point so we can too. Defo rest Lloyd but play our strongest team possible and give it a go. 4-0 home win.

Rest Lloyd Jones and try and escape with a point. Think we'll probably lose though sadly.

Tricky one but the pressure is all on them wilth the Wall breathing down their necks. Think it will be close but they will have too much quality for us, 1-0 to Middlesbrough.

Jones will just have to treat the game like he is on a booking which he has done well enough this season when he does have a booking.

I talked to our "Valley Express from Ramsgate" coach driver when he dropped me after the Brum game, hadn't seen him before.  He said he always drives the team coach to the away games and they nearly all involve an overnight stay (which includes him) and some a hotel before and after the game.  That will include this Boro away game, and will include Oxford before the game.

He also added that it (surprisingly) includes some local derbys.  I suppose with the traffic levels we get these days they cant afford to get stuck in a silly traffic jam and be late.
Was there a game recently the coach was stuck in traffic and the players were late, had to walk the last bit?

Curbs said no resting players for this game on Charlton TV yesterday. That trumps everyone else

Complete free hit for me.  A draw would be an exceptional outcome

If we nicked a win I may just implode

I think we should play Jones, but instruct him to avoid tackles, headers and sprinting. He should know how to do that, he's seen Berry play often enough.

We will probably lose even if Jones is playing. It’s better to rest him.

Jones does not know the meaning of a free hit and will treat this as any other game where a result is possible, regardless who the opposition are

An example that superb away win at Portman Road back in October.

Having seen us win at Ipswich and Leicester,  draw at Hull, Soton and Birmingham,  and lose at QPR and Pompey,  it's impossible to say in advance which games are our best chance of getting points.

There's no pressure on us tonight, but NJ will be targeting getting something.

Hi all, just got the below message through from our Frameworks Team:

I’m afraid we are getting system warnings generated that we’ve exceeded our Like / LOL tolerances.

As an urgent response action to bring back within framework parameters, I’d appreciate if everyone can go back to @eastterrace6168 post and remove their Like or LOL.

    Thanks

Just had a tally going through all the games so far this season, and can only see Jones getting eight bookings in the league, so maybe pressure could well be off for tonight...🙌
