    And then there was 3
    Charlton
    WBA
    Oxford
Scratch that, Oxford won't catch up the goal difference
We lose both 1-0, Oxford win both 1-0 and that’s a swing of four. They’d go above us in that scenario.
I meant that they won't catch West Brom

And they could have been below us if   WE JUST SCORED MORE THAN A SINGLE GOAL EVERY GAME.

But I keep get being told its clean sheets you should worry about, not goals scored.

And guess what.....they have conceded more than us this season.
If we kept a clean sheet against Ipswich there wouldn't have been a problem.

Only way this gets remotely interesting is if Oxford beat Sheffield Wednesday by 2 and West Brom lose to Ipswich by 2.

then even if that happens you need one of the most inform teams to lost to a side with 1 win in 41 and Oxford to beat Millwall 2-0 away

No change then 🤷‍♂️ us and Oxford aren't going to start banging in a load of goals and can't see west brom getting thumped either.
I fear a clean sheet and trying to get a 0-0 is the best we can hope for

Why does it take 6 seasons for Sheffield Weds to get a points deduction and W Brom seem to get one overnight?
We would have stayed up under Bowyer if EFL had acted at the time? Very arbitrary

2 points is what was expected.  A relatively minor infringement,  and the fault of the previous owner.

Because they’ve improved the rules partly because of the issues with delays before

Am actually quite surprised at the speed this has been dealt with.

Needed to leave time for an appeal. Obviously that won’t happen before the last game but that’s more palatable than the punishment AND appeal coming after the last game

Do you not think there isn't a correlation between us being 4th bottom and being joint 2nd worst goalscorers in the division.

    The worst goalscorers are 24th
    2nd worst goalscorers are 23rd & 21st.

Had it been 3 points, it would have unrelegated Leicester. That would have been interesting

Anyone know why the table is putting WBA above us when they have a worse GD? Minor I know but just wondering

Maybe because their goal difference is better than ours?

I cannot believe the yellow card Choudhury just got. It's a fantastic challenge

3 points doesn't really change anything. The maths for a 5 point and 6 point gap are the same, just GD becomes irrelevant

Oxford could overtake West Brom if they'd had 3 points deducted

We could have been above them with one more clean sheet too.

They still can, a 6 goal swing between 2 wins and losses is pretty likely
