Great news with Coady. I think we'll be nervous and edge out a 1-10
-
3 nil to the Addicks.2

0 wins at home all season. Scored just 11 goals in 21 games and conceded 42.RonnieMoore said:
Draw good enough .. Sheff Wed done pretty well at home and been very unlucky not to get a few winsusetobunkin said:Gave this one a swerve, first the agg with the trains , then the ride to and from. Also not overly enamoured with Sheffield. If we don’t win well , we don’t deserve to be in this in this league.Looking for a proper performance, not waiting until we a 1 down with 10 to go before we start motivating ourselves. Draw won’t cut it, no excuses , play to win ( like their lives depend upon the outcome)
Please don’t have us go to Swansea needing a win and Pompey/Oxford / Rovers/ Foxes to drop points

1-10

0-1 late Godden winner after being poor for most of the game and being under the cosh.1
-
It’ll be 0-0, then we’ll finally get a break through late on. Kelman off the bench with the winner.1

I'm pissed off with tippy toeing it over the line one point (at best) at a time, it's time to turn up and turn on Charlton from the first to the last minute...we can win this bloody game, so COME ON YOU REDS...🤦♂️1
-
With Coady & Collins back, Reece Burke also available, Jones saying it's a must win, it all points to a change in formation 9 -1. Keep em out at all costs & hope that Dykes can throw himself to the floor in the box with the ball nowhere near & get a pen. Fingers crossed.

0-1, 1-1 or 1-2. I’m split three ways.0

If we’d have one any of the previous must win games (Portsmouth at home, Bristol City, Preston, Blackburn from 2-0 etc etc).
This wouldn’t have been a must win.
So only got ourselves to blame for being under pressure.
Wibble.3 -
Unconvincing one nil win that all but cements our place in the league next season.4
-
We need to win by any means necessary. A huge game2

A game in which I expect us to see a lot of the ball, which is not how we play our best football--part of the reason why we've been so poor at home lately. When we're forced to take the game to the opposition, we look sloppy in possession and sometimes get dragged out of position defensively.
I know that Jones knows this. I expect we'll see a team picked accordingly
.............................Mannion
..................Ramsay Jones (C) Bell
Clarke Carey Coventry Rankin-Costello Chambers
............................Dykes TC
Bench (honestly, this is hard to predict): TK, Macca, Coady, Doc, Berry, Fevrier, Leaburn, Godden, Kelman
I think that's our best ball playing midfield three, aside from maybe Ibby Fullah who I don't think is ready to start and may not even may the bench. That battle in the middle of the pitch will be key. I could maybe see Doc keeping his place over Coventry, but Coventry is good at keeping the ball moving and keeping things ticking over. We know Doc is more of a grafter.
Patience will be key. I expect we'll have rough patches in the game. But Sheff Wed have conceded late a lot lately as per Cawley's pod, so if we're 0-0/1-1 going into the final 15 minutes, it will be important that we still believe we can win. Our bench looks stronger these days, so much so it's hard for me to figure out who will make the bench.
I don't view this as a must win, I view this as a must not lose. I think we match up better against our other three opponents in the run in, all of whom like to have more of the ball and all of whom we can sit deep against, soak up pressure, and look to hit on the counter/from a set piece.0 -
We will either lose 1-0 or win something silly like 5-1.7
-
Just bloody win please gents. Stop faffing about and giving us all stress.5
-
I am feeling a bit scared just like the day before the play off final.
I realise that this is not a "must win" game per se, BUT surely we need to have a positive front foot attitude against Wendies? If we go onto this with "a point will do" attitude - then Wendies will get more confident and have a right go. We could lose!
Would like to see Coady in there and have TC as well as Dykes and Godden up front. Got to go for this one!1 -
Just win FFS Charlton…🤷♂️1
-
Just praying that we score first, as haven't won a game all season after conceding the first goal.
In fact the last time we won a game in which we conceded any goal was the home game v Sheff Weds, 6 months ago.3 -
Near Sheffield already. Really a must win. We've been good away of late so fingers crossed but I'm not confident at all.0

We'll win this and beat Ipswich Tuesday and hopefully put all the panic and cowardice to bed for another few weeks (til the transfer window opens and we haven't signed Declan Rice or Harlaand by mid July).
If not it's on us as all in our own hands so time for team to step up.1 -
You’d also hope that their heads will go down if we score first.Chris_from_Sidcup said:Just praying that we score first, as haven't won a game all season after conceding the first goal.

I like the idea of beating Ipswich on Tuesday night, move the game forward 24-hours and don't tell them about it, reckon we should just about scrape a 1-0 with that tacticRodneyCharltonTrotta said:We'll win this and beat Ipswich Tuesday and hopefully put all the panic and cowardice to bed for another few weeks (til the transfer window opens and we haven't signed Declan Rice or Harlaand by mid July).

I wouldn't be surprised if we lost to Wednesday, but beat Hull.3

I do think we have to start Godden, he's our only chance of scoring more than one goal.
I'll be away on retreat with all electrical outlets switched off until Sunday PM. So can I ask you all, if we've won, please send out positive vibes into the ether and I may just pick them up while meditating.
If we've lost, well, you can all f off;)5 -
Blackburn losing this evening would ease the nerves slightly5
