This would not be a good time to concede.
Is there a good time then...
When we're 4-0 up with 2 mins to go?

I'd take TC off, put Godden on & move Kelman out wide.

TC has yet to beat his man & yet to put a cross in.

Fevrier on the other hand had been a breath of fresh air.

Long stoppages for injuries to Jones, Bell (who was then subbed) and TC.

Tbh we've doubled Sheffield United this season so Blackburn being 3 up against them is not too much of a anomaly.
  • Can't fault the effort of anyone that half. (But why oh why didn't we show the same last saturday)

Ipswich knocking it around well and look likely to score again. Can we hold out for another 45 minutes or even better score again?

Overall a very good 45. Bit of a wobble after they equalised but settled towards the end of the half. Doc the best player on the pitch so far, Fevrier and TC having decent games too. Kelman could be dangerous here too if we can get more balls through to him on the counter.

Much more like it. I thought the starting lineup suggested we would be pressing the opposition much more than we usually do. Baffling why NJ suddenly changes his tactics tonight, if we had pressed Wednesday like this we would have looked way better.

    Should’ve been 3 at most
  • Quality from Ipswich vs hard work, heart and grit from us.   Some stand out performances from CAFC players. Keep going gents 45 mins to get another well earned season at this level.

Did we not score from his interception and shot?

I bet the ref gave Ipswich a free kick in the changing rooms.

The more I watch that goal the more I think that is an absolute banger for a RB to score.

Steve Brown’s gushing praise for Ipswich is starting to do my head in
For the first half an hour they were shite, oberhitting everything, and Sichenje and Fevrier were marking Philogene and Jackson out of the game

If we are going to get anything out of this game we'll need to score again. It wont end 1-1.

Lots of second balls being won in the midfield which is weird to see. Ipswich giving up a lot of passes in the middle because of our press. The one thing we dropped off on as the game went on was we need to put the ball over the top between the keeper and the centre backs rather than onto the front men. Ref is having a disgracefully poor game, both Kelman and TC had fouls on them that should have led to cards. Blackburn are out of sight now so we just need to come out of this with a point please
We're not challenging the long ball headers really, so have more players to mop up the second balls

You don’t need TC to beat a man if he can play as direct as that. Just get early shots or crosses in or get to the byline. He’s much better when he doesn’t try to cut back all the time. Give me a John Robinson winger over all the tricks and flicks any day.

Still feel we will win this, and crazy scenes at FT in front of The Covered End..

Happy with that. Proper game of football, something to cheer for. Everyone is trying hard. Press has been quicker and passing sharper than of late. Docherty has been outstanding but it's particularly pleasing how some players without so much game time recently have played: Kaminsky, Coventry, Gillespie, Fevrier and Sichenge all good.

Surprised to see people say TC has had a good half, I’m a fan but think he has looked poor.

overall we have played well particularly Fev, Sichenje, Doc and Kelman

…which is something Godden thrives on. Would be nice to see him on later.

    Kelman out wide!  :D
  • Well I have been impressed by our effort just lacking the usual class. But we are in staying up territory at half time. Just hope we keep pushing up and not get too deep. Can we get that illusive 2nd goal? We might need it - they will score again.

Can Kelman even cross a ball?

Yes, but that's not my point.

Since the goal he has had the ball countless times but has not done anything with it. One one occasion he was given the ball just inside their half with space in front if him. Instead of turning & going forward with it he played it back.....which was a misplaced pass which they then attacked with & ended up with a shot.

He is not a striker & not a winger (as in he doesn't take on his man).

By the way lads, I know the referee is causing distinct provocation, but can you leave the C-bombs out please?
