The year was 2075 and Charlton were waiting for that point for safety.

On a serious note, this is doing my head in. The stress of it all.

If we manage to stay up - and suspect that’s in Oxford’s hands not ours - we need a fairly substantial overhaul in the summer. Too many of the squad not good enough for this league. To be honest, not sure the manager is either. On that cheery note, we go again Saturday
  • Man that second half was tough to watch for a number of reasons. I was worried as soon as Bell went off.

What worries me now is half our team out injured. Why didnt he bring Coady on at half time.A lot of this is on Nathan Jones wasted 10 million on players who are loan out.

Shite, another few days of uncertainty.

now relying on Oxford to slip up.

We should’ve never been in this position.

This just isn’t true? Play like the first half on Saturday and we’ll get a point at least
And what if we play like the second half?

A lot still needs to happen for us to go down, we shouldn't be here but we are. Keep the faith and sort this bloody squad out in the summer!

So frustrating. Not a bad performance in some ways, but if we let in more than one, then we run out of ideas. Looking for a miracle at the end, which has not come for a while. Injuries are really going to be damaging.
At least, a win for Ipswich ensures Milwall will need something against Oxford, and Wednesday don't seem a pushover.

Need Sheffield Wednesday or Millwall to stop Oxford then. Because we’re not getting another point this season. Not a single shot at goal in the entire second half is appalling.
We had a few shots at goal, just none were on target. Hardly surprising when we average 3 shots on target per game.

Then we’re in trouble but it’s still in our hands, some of the talk is as if we’re the side who needs 6 points

We just have players who lack any footballing intelligence……just lumping it in the air at the end was a waste of time….we didn’t win any headers in the box…don’t sign Dykes we can do better

Even if we do survive realistically we're not going to have a massive clear out and Jones isn't going to change his out dated tactics

We'll be fine as I dont think Oxford get 6 points, but what is this football? Jones overseeing a collapse of an unbelievable level.
Oxford probably playing a Millwall team that can’t get automatic promotion and planning ahead for the playoffs…not so sure mate

Gillesphey brought us up and now he might have a hand in taking us back down.

    Useless prick.
Dont agree, but no need to call him a prick. He was the reason we’re in the division and that free kick means he’s always going to be a legend at the club.
Seems like a lovely bloke and always tries but he’s just nowhere near good enough. He’s literally the reason we’re in this position. That series of games where we had him at LCB and Campbell LWB really cost us, plus that performance tonight. Just tragic that he’s been asked to play.
    He'll never be a legend.

*If* we stay up, I hope the owners have very deep pockets indeed. They'll be needed. No question.

2 points from the last 6 games with only a win needed from any of those to guarantee survival. Can't beat Oxford, can't beat Wednesday, can't even beat teams playing for absolutely nothing.

We are so lucky that other teams have been poor below us, because this run-in has been dreadful.
Need to hope that luck continues

Hugely hilarious in the week seeing fans on Twitter/X saying that Lloyd Jones was robbed of a TOTS place.

    Positives........

    Doc
    Fevrier
    Millwall dropping down to 3rd.

    Negatives......

Our inability to score more than once. I believe that's the 4rh game in our last 5 that we've taken the lead and not gone onto win. Worse still, in all those 4 matches we failed to score a 2nd goal

We are joint 2and worst goalscorers with Oxford. Only Sheff Wed have scored less goals than us.

If we go down it will because we cant score. End of.

  • No shots in the second half.

I prefer it when we have shots.

We do have some absolute idiots, lots of poor individual mistakes have cost us so many points in the run in. Also think the balance in the starting line up and timing of Subs was terrible from NJ once again.

That’s tough to swallow. We were in their faces winning balls and causing them to make mistakes throughout the first half but hard to keep up that intensity for 90 minutes.
Deserved a point for sheer effort.
Disappointed the ref gave the pen. He was letting those sort of challenges go all over the pitch and the terrible pen deserved to be saved

THIS. We are trying to stay up with a league one football team.
  • A lot of negativity on here and understandably after how we’ve done in the run-in but I thought we played okay? . Started positively , battled hard but ultimately we just don’t have the quality.
Doch and Fevrier very good tonight
macca needs to be moved on
