Really hoping this is his season. We know he has it in him, just been unfortunate with injuries.Covered_End_Lad said:Knibbs looking really sharp
Another player with lovely parents who I am now majorly rooting for as a result 😂8 -
Hopefully with the signings of Grant and Alli (as well as TC) we are moving towards a system thats not one striker and two wingers per se but rather three forwards who can all switch around and go wider, drop deeper or play through the middle with flexibility midgame. I seem to remember Leaburn also started out as a wider player before his growth spurt so he may also work in that system.sam3110 said:Grant moving up top with Godden dropping deeper at times, and Knibbs pulling wide left. Hopefully a sign that we'll have a more fluid, creative side when things are going well for us
If Dykes does sign that gives us the option to switch to a more physical and direct option if needed.6 -
The former…Scoham said:Gough and Mwamba continuing to show they either need to be involved in our first team or on loan in L1/L2/SPL.0 -
Alan Mwamba playing well here5
-
Would expect Danny Cowley is desperate for Gough or Mwamba off of this. Doubt he'll get them but I suspect one of the 21s will end up there7

Perhaps we'll just have to accept he might miss a couple of months here or there - and if he does then Coventry / A.N.Other will have to deputiseRedhenry said:Chalobah, yes pls
chalobah and Muamba decent0 -
Beautiful ball from Billy for the first and a top finish from Grant for the second, made it look easy.4

I think this was a problem with Leaburn moreredbuttle said:
After that performance I don't think he understands the word running. He was wandering about looking totally disinterested. The Red Robin said:
He’s not a hold up player or number nine, despite his build. He needs to be running onto balls or getting crosses infront of him.Sword65pf said:
They need to decide what type of striker they want him to be, as in fo they want him to be more of a box player or someone linking the play and accepting not scoring as many? I think he is caught between the two and doing neither good enough.AndyG said:
Honestly not wanting to start a pile on regarding Miles but in all seriousness if he doesn’t show a massive improvement this season how many more do we wait in the hope that it happens ?TheHerminator said:StreekDerek said:If Wimbledon had been the Championship side and us the League one, you would have said it was a comfortable win against lower league opposition. Only Leaburn did himself justice.
Leaburn was atrocious yesterday?
often than not last season but people don’t want to hear it. I stand by my opinion that he could have prevented the Millwall equaliser at The Valley.

Perhaps NJ has told a couple of them to do just that. Putting them in the (loan) window.wolfgang said:SheedyCAFC said:Alan Mwamba playing well here

He'd need to work out what position he wants to commit to first though, too much of a utility player at the momentfenaddick said:
Let him have Enslin, he could thrive in this systemMarcusH26 said:Would expect Danny Cowley is desperate for Gough or Mwamba off of this. Doubt he'll get them but I suspect one of the 21s will end up there0 -

When we can yes. But sometimes a horrible bastard up front can be a useful thing to have. Some jobs need a scalpel and some need a hammer.wolfgang said:
Sorry, Dykes is no longer needed. We are going to play football this season.thenewbie said:

Josh Laq in particular had reviews that he was playing far too low and that was playing out of position in midfield. He also hasn’t looked hugely out of place when he’s needed to step into the first team. I think his move last year was just to give him some men’s football and the window was closed.Crispywood said:

Enslin probably would be playing a step too high but he looked quicker and a bit stockier in pre season to me.
We saw last season, we need to give our loan players challenging moves. That’s what helps them deliver3 -
For the love of god somebody buy Koumetio some shorts that fit.7
-
Hahaha Bromley are beating Millwall5
-
So Billy’s class, Knibbs finally looks like the player we’ve signed and a fully fit Godden scores 15 next season. What’s not to like?5

Who is the trialist, people saying Chabolah, What's his history?0

Best 45 of pre season there7

I think they’re both better than that, probably more about the loan deals they could get at the time. They’re not miles off Mwamba and Gough, and Ewens-Findlay managed to get a L2 loan. They could move up a few leagues quickly with the right loans, all five need bigger tests than u21 football.Crispywood said:
