Thought he did well, not afraid to get stuck in.

McNamara, despite the cameo was my MOTM, he's a real positive so far this season.

Yes but you said Mesik was the one bright spark, he wasn’t.

That tackle in front of the West was rather meaty!!  He is one double hard bastard

Impressive so far. 2 games in a week and has performed well in both. A bit of an edge when defending and good to see him surge forwards at times yesterday too.
  • Hopefully not injury prone.

I seem to be in the minority but for the first 30 mins against Preston I didn’t think he was great. Seemed out of position a lot, but didn't get forward, seemed slow.

After that he turned into a different player though! Interested to see if anyone thought the same?

Everyone was poor for the first 30 mins, they changed shape just for us and it took a while to adapt

Some of his early passing and decision making was poor but after he put a beautiful diagonal ball through to Grant (flagged offside) he stepped up a couple of gears.

I see him as solid but not spectacular. I don’t quite get the fanboy critique on his muscles either.
I like him, but he’s being out shone at present by McNamara

Not really fair to compare him with his limited experience in English Football, compared to McNamara whose never played abroad

I think he looks good but very erratic, can see why he’s preferred at LB opposed to LCB, physically looks great for English football but has a lot to learn on the positioning and structure side of the game.

But for 500k and cover at LB you really can’t ask for much mor

Has things to learn and will undoubtedly get better as he adapts to the league.

Can comfortably play anywhere across the back 4 as well which is very handy in a squad and can play in a back 3 too. An unbelievable bit of scouting imo.
