    Billy Beast mode.

Once he starts getting on the end of some of our corners and free kicks and gets a handful of goals he'll definitely be in cult-status territory.

He could be taking over as my (current) favourite Charlton player ...

Loved how calm he was on the ball. I noticed a few times he was telling lloyd to move up to get a better angle of pass. Looks at home

Seems to have all you want in a CB, feels like it’s mainly a question of how consistent he can be at this level.

Impressed so far but it’s literally one game. Far too early to be talking about legend status. Having said that yesterday was very encouraging.
  • Big Bill is gonna become a crowd favourite. Technically great and you can tell he grew up at Liverpool. And an absolute unit to boot.

Superb find - what was he doing at Dundee?
He had 2-3 loans and a few injuries so there clearly weren't many takers. Even at Dundee he suffered with an ankle injury, he only played 40 league games in two years.

He looks good so far but the biggest issue is going to be whether he can stay fit for most of the season. If he can stay fit we've got a real talent for a bargain price. If he doesn't stay fit we've got another Reece Burke.
  • Looked very impressive, hope he can stay fit.

He looked comfortable at the level yesterday and he's better than I thought he would be.

Really like the look of him. He actually looked so good that he made Lloydy look ordinary if that makes sense? For too long we have over relied on Lloyd and it seems we have someone who can finally match his level. Reckon this could be a very good centre back pairing once things start to get ticking.

Was noticeable to me that Morris avoided Jones as he has had no luck with him in the past and went for Billy instead, didn't work out for him.

Very smart buy, can only hope he stays injury free.

He looks like the best bit of business done by the club for years. Comfortable on the ball and rock solid in defence. Can probably adapt with ease to five across the back if NJ wants to pull up the drawbridge for away fixtures. Might get the odd goal too.

When you look at the prices of players in this league he's already looking like very good business.

Do we have confirmation on how to pronounce his name.

    Kou-met-io with a hard T

    OR

    Kou- may-shio with a soft T.

I thought it was the latter but announcer used the former.

    Or just Big Bill.

Re his fitness im sure Steven Pressley said his issues at Dundee were both impact injuries so unlucky more than anything

It'll be good this year with Billy, Miles and Lloyd when we stand next to Millwall and don't look like mascots.

Think Ivan will help there too

Genuinely been thinking this week about posting how seamlessly he’s slotted in alongside Lloyd Jones and now it looks like they’ve been playing together for years.

    Glad I didn’t jinx it.

I don’t know why but as soon as I saw him go down early in the Cheltenham match I was immediately concerned he was going to be injury prone for us. 4 matches in seems excessive though

    Been reported as £600,000

Has struggled injury wise but when he has played he has done well according to Dee fans just never got going due to injuries

    Hamstring injury

    Recovery Timelines by Severity
    • Grade 1 (Mild Strain): 3 to 10 days. This involves microscopic tears in the muscle fibers. Elite athletes with minor tightness or micro-sprains occasionally return in under a week if scans show minimal damage.
    • Grade 2 (Moderate Strain): 3 to 6 weeks. This involves a partial tear of the muscle fibers.
    • Grade 3 (Severe Tear): 6 weeks to 3 months or longer. This involves a major or complete tear that may require surgical repair.
I woud imagine the most likely scenario is Grade 2 but it is only a guess based on the player's reaction.

That's what makes me think it's a grade 2. A severe tear and he would be stretchered off. It won't be a grade 1 as we are not that lucky.

I pulled my hamstring back in June, minor tear, could walk on it without pain but not run. Took me 8 weeks and two setbacks before now fine again, but then I am over 50 and not a professional athlete.  Can recommend doing at least an hour of yoga a day to prevent recurrence tho. My setbacks cane when i missed a couple of days yoga and then tried a slow run.

Probably of no relevance to Billy sadly but hopw he recovers quickly
