    Something mst be wrong for them to announce this. Terrible. Reports they have attrested a 54 year old man at the property.

    I think we need to wait for an update. She may have had a fall and they are questioning the person in question. We will have to wait for the facts to come out but this is awful.

    78 year old lady's life brutally ended. Regardless of motives, its just so sad.

    Without wanting to add to speculation its being suggested on various social media that the attacker was known to her so dont think we can assume its political in any way.

    What shocking news, when I heard that she had passed away, I never thought it could be the result of a vicious attack. Nobody deserves that.

    On a serious note I respected two things about her, the fact she always took zero expenses from the public purse and the fact she always stayed true to her principles and beliefs, like Robin Cook. A lot of our current crop could learn from that.
    I remember this, she came down our road. She was a force of nature and a British eccentric. RIP.

    I'd avoided the thread on a 'if you can't say anything nice...' basis given I really didn't agree wirh 90% of what she stood for, but if if this turns out to be a murder case, that's absolutely awful.
