RIP DAVE BRITTON…….FROM ASHFORD.

His son Tony has just called me to say Dave passed away yesterday…...he had been fighting the Big C for a while.
Well known for his love of golf and would often turn up for Charlton related tournaments.
A regular in The West Stand and lounges.
Also a staunch Kent Cricket member/fan and was attending games until quite recently.
He was a great pal of Derek Ufton and through his friendship with him he became a MCC Member, of which he was very proud.
Had a great sense of humour too……loved a good joke did Dave.
Had been a successful amateur private entry TT motor cyclist back in the day and got a third place at an Isle of Man meeting.
Pretty sure he went to Alleyn’s school.
Owned Ashford Garage Equipment.
A great and interesting character was Dave.
