RIP DAVE BRITTON…….FROM ASHFORD.
His son Tony has just called me to say Dave passed away yesterday…...he had been fighting the Big C for a while.
Well known for his love of golf and would often turn up for Charlton related tournaments.
A regular in The West Stand and lounges.
Also a staunch Kent Cricket member/fan and was attending games until quite recently.
He was a great pal of Derek Ufton and through his friendship with him he became a MCC Member, of which he was very proud.
Had a great sense of humour too……loved a good joke did Dave.
Had been a successful amateur private entry TT motor cyclist back in the day and got a third place at an Isle of Man meeting.
Pretty sure he went to Alleyn’s school.
Owned Ashford Garage Equipment.
A great and interesting character was Dave.
UP THE ADDICKS!!!

David was a great supporter of East Kent Addicks, always attended our meetings and our annual dinners.
He thoroughly enjoyed our last meeting with Len Glover, and remarked what an interesting guest he was.
Also a regular on the Valley Express from Ashford.
Will be sadly missed
