Undisclosed fee.
Am I right in assuming we have had undisclosed money in for:
Dixon
Alex Mitchell
Karoy.
Macca
….anybody else?
How much income do people guesstimate?0 -
Surprised we got a fee for him tbh3
-
Well the great thing with an undisclosed fee is it can be £0. I wouldn't be surprised if we got 50-100k for him though. Those European leagues value players coming from England0

The vast majority of young players don't make it at not only Charlton but at every club.
Kaheim Dixon was always going to be a long shot coming from Jamaica at 19 but he had a contract which is cherished by every young footballer the world over. Dixon's contract would've been modest compared to the young superstars but an achievement never the less.
Nick Pope came from Bury Town in Suffolk at 19 and despite many Charlton fans saying he's not good enough for cafc went on to play for England !
Joe Aribo was also past academy age when he showed up from Staines Town and his career may has stalled over the last 18 months but he did well at Charlton and Rangers.
We live in hope that every signing will be a Ramsay or an Edwards but they rarely are.
These are the exceptions to the rules.
Charlie Kirk was going to be the best thing since sliced bread according to one particular poster but turned out to be mouldy old dough !

I wish him the best, but isn’t Serbian football known for its lack of racial tolerance?

I am not surprised he left, but why to Montenegro?0

For Dixon to go to Serbia he must've had a lack of options as even though Red Star Belgrade have had black players and have signed Ghanians, Derrick Luckassen and Osman Bujari, mainly as they are cheap. It will be difficult for Kaheim at Novi Pazar if he is the only black player there.

They had 4 black players start in their match yesterday and let’s not forget that Sichenje was playing in Serbia toosoapboxsam said:For Dixon to go to Serbia he must've had a lack of options as even though Red Star Belgrade have had black players and have signed Ghanians, Derrick Luckassen and Osman Bujari, mainly as they are cheap. Feel sorry for the lad. Can't imagine moving & living over there - no family or friends to mix with. Different coming over to England (and London specifically) from Jamaica to living in a county where you don't speak the language.4

It seems a baffling move to me, especially for someone who seems a quiet lad.golfaddick said:Feel sorry for the lad. Can't imagine moving & living over there - no family or friends to mix with. I think it is safe to say that he did not have multiple clubs knocking on his door.

I actually think being an international for Jamaica last year when on loan in L2 was really detrimental to him, as he could not get the consistency, then would miss sometimes 2-3 league games and it came to a point where Scott Lindsey I think got quite frustrated with it, so practically side-lined him because of it. That had a really big impact on him sadly. I think his a wonderful character, a very infectious personality that I hear lots of the players really loved, so they will miss him and I wish him nothing but good luck.Valleyfan2 said:Exciting player but never quite made the grade.4 -
good luck kaheim1

As said when he joined us it was a low risk high reward longshot. It hasnt panned out for us and him, he definetly has some talent but needs to be playing regularly to become the best version of himself. Good luck Kaheim1

They're certainly no angels but moving there as a young black player didn't do Sichenje any harm.AddicksAddict said:I wish him the best, but isn’t Serbian football known for its lack of racial tolerance?

I've been a great fan of both Chris D's. Capable of great feats of skill but usually fed by mediocre midfielders to have their backs to goal.
The same reason Rommedhal failed with us but was world class elsewhere.0 -
Rommedhal didn't fail for us... He was frustrating, but he was quality3
-
We had Lee, Lisbie, Walsh, Stuart, Sam, Powell, Newton and Simonsen. All more effective than Dennis although few in the EPL and thats just RW. He was never quality for us.1
