I always thought just immediately wiping out the season before's points was always a bit harsh, maybe a rolling two year's history would be good to have but then we all know the rules and it's the same for everyone.1 -
It's a complete reset so the 2 years being counted is now only last season and this season - of which no away points have been able to have been generated yet. I must have gone to about 7 or 8 aways in the promotion season but those points are all wiped now.JoshrewCAFC said:

Two years of season tickets in most areas of the ground would be just under £1000, if not more. That gets you 460 loyalty points, or 510 with the early bird bonus. Still beneath valley gold.OhMyGodden said:

I agree with others saying it should be 1 per person.
If it was a big Cup match at Old Trafford & we had 8k tickets (or whatever it was in 1994) then 2 per person is fine.
For a local Derby, at a new ground, 1st away game of the season then imo 1 per person is fair. If it then goes onto general sale then 2 per person is reasonable.

Without VG, there probably wouldn’t have been a club or team to get to this stage in the first place because all those youngsters coming through to the youth set up have collectively been filling a lot of positions on the team sheets. The only fans this really impacts are those who clearly don’t really go to that many away games anyway (otherwise they would have points to spare).The real big issue is the club not saying how many fans qualify for each phase they set the points at that justifies having so many phases each time. It can’t be randomly set, surely, and there are some big issues coming as the season progresses. A bit of transparency now could save a lot of aggravation.6

Two is fair. There are a number of people who regularly travel with kids, where the kids don't have fan IDs. A lot of people also buy 2+ tickets without assigning the ticket to the others because they don't know how.se9addick said:What’s the argument for two per person for a match such as this?
It doesn't matter how much effort the club put into making this clear as people will always struggle. Just look at how many people couldn't work out how to buy their own season ticket seat for the Chelsea game last season, despite this being extremely obvious.
The idea that there are loads of people buying 2+ tickets to bring along neutral mates or to sell for profit is preposterous. I'm not saying that it doesn't happen at all, but very few people do this.
Notice how these tickets were selling in a reasonable manner until we reached the Valley Gold stage. This is where things get out of hand as there are loads of people that have had Valley Gold subscriptions set up for years, but no longer go to games on a regular basis and are only interested in the big matches. There are also a lot of season ticket holders with Valley Gold that seldom go to away matches and don't even bother turning up to half the home games they have paid for...6 -
That was absolutely brutal.
Not sure of any actual figures but I reckon 1,750 tickets evaporated in no time.
Had my group's tickets in the basket - all ready to go, all seats together - all kinds of issues with the website, had to release them.
JUST about managed to salvage the situation before it sold out, but with single tickets.
Most of the disabled and ambulant disabled tickets remain.0 -

The only sensible option is for 3000 tickets to be sold one per person and if anyone talks to each other in the ground instant eviction imo.8

This system has been around for a while now but still get the same argument every popular away game, it really is simple, just go to more games and build your points! Then you will climb the list of phases.

I only got tickets in the home end as I thought it wouldn't reach those with less than 530, ie me!. Looks like I was right. I'll be close by in Block 225.1
