    The upper tier is terrible,  the lower tier ok as they've installed temporary seating at each end to move the seating forwards.

    Gutted to have missed out I could have got one ticket earlier as I have Valley Gold and season ticket but waited hoping that I could have got them for the four grandchildren who are season ticket holders but no joy !

    Those that have season tickets and go to around half a dozen away games a season should get tickets, which seems fair to me. The majority of our away matches go to general sale, so easy to go to at least 6 away games a season if you want to get the points. Most prem/some champ clubs are a closed shop for away tickets, so, believe it or not, we are quite lucky ! The one/two tickets per person is another argument (can’t think of any where it has ever been one per person except for cray valley paper mills).

    Those are seats that will be covered with segregation netting/tarpaulin.
    Yep, the segregation gap is quite big between the home and away lower-tier blocks.

    Sad to miss this and was only 5 points away from being able to get one in phase 6. No complaints though, should have done more aways last season!

    I knew I wouldn't have a hope of getting a ticket for this one but there are a few clubs in the division where I've never seen us play so hopefully I'll get to a couple of those. Will admit that when it looked like Spurs were going to be coming down I was considering joining VG for a year, but I've been to West Ham's place for baseball a couple of years ago and the Paralympics 100m final in 2012 so it's just not as big a deal.

    I am not complaining about the system I just need to be smarter as I buy all the away tickets I get the points not the grandchildren so this season I will buy them on their individual accumulation to build their points up and hopefully will have enough points by the Millwall game for all of us

    Although I benefit from it occasionally do think 2 per member is slightly ridiculous. 

    You should be able to link accounts and everyone has to be on that phase to get it. 

    1st game of season and summer holidays adds appetite for it, middle of winter and we are routed to bottom of table and it makes general sale. 

    Usually we sell out 1st away games of the season from memory.

    Being in the arse end of Kent means I don’t get to as many away games any longer and I do accept others need to have priority before me - but when it does get to my phase the bloody system is so lethargic or unusable it’s off the scale. Luckily managed to get my 2 but only after 20,000 refreshes of the page when it said it was “sold out”.

    The ticket website was seriously poor for me today, I was buying for a number of people. And prior to this week I made sure they were all linked and visible in the Friends & Family page of my account.

    I come to the purchase, at the point of assigning tickets to owners, about a third of the people I could see linked on the Friends & Family page were not appearing as options to assign to.

    I had to de-friend them - ring them up to attach our accounts again - then everything worked.

    Anyone else get this issue?

    That's when I picked up mine - refresh, refresh, refresh - they came and went in seconds!

    That bit certainly worked this week. I did all the buying for my group this week - those who had done the miles I bought for on Tuesday, I was able to buy at my leisure, pick out decent seats for them.

    I and the rest of my group came in at the "570 points or Valley Gold" level today and ultimately grateful to grab anything I could.

    For anyone who missed out - there are literally hundreds for sale on the West Ham ticket site and the game is on general sale. Loads of seats together in 3s and 4s and 5s etc.

    I thought the same, grateful they didn't cut it to the 2,000 minimum in the Championship.

    Probably due in part to the limitations of their crap stadium.

    Another derby as in Derby have sold out 3,065 for their short trip to not a new ground and there will be nearly 10k empty seats in the ground , so we can't really bitch about anything regarding away ticket allocations

    They have a ticket resale scheme, that's why there are so many available in their general sale. I can see only more tickets becoming available in the home end as the game gets nearer.

     I (wrongly) had in my head they can grant more to away teams and would have thought they’d struggle to fully sell to home fans in August (holiday time etc). But I stand corrected.

    Different circumstances, different rules, EFL cup game - but Portsmouth play there on Saturday and have sold out a 9,000 away end!
