I can only see that being TC and Carey. For all their weaknesses and frustrating moments they’re better than some of our fans give credit for.

If we sell I’d want good fees for this level that allow us to sign equally good or better players in their positions.

We’d have to keep in mind the limits on foreign players, so replacing them wouldn’t necessarily mean finding good value abroad. That could make replacing them difficult and expensive.

It's just TC and we know that Preston are interested and by the sounds of it can't afford him. There's no way there's big bids going in for Godden or Grant. I suppose there could be big bids for Carey but I doubt it. Just typical after the game manager talk to soothe the result

This sort of talk reminds me of the days when a few years after we dropped out of the Premier League we re-signed Jon Fortune and he happened to be the only player in our squad with Premier League experience yet some managers were happy to say what an advantage we had with Premier League players in our squad. It was literally just Jon Fortune only.

I doubt Cotterill knows anything concrete he probably just means he wouldn't be surprised if they went for big money moves.

TC definitely. His contract runs out next year so we would get nothing. If he won't sign the new one now that he has been iffered we should deffo sell him and use the money to bolster the midfield. Sad but true.

Always found it very odd that managers make comments like that to justify a tough loss

By the laws of the game they only need 7 players to start a friendly. 8 if a competitive match.

I don't think anyone expected Leicester to keep Fatawu for the whole season based off how well he started. They were lucky he was coming off an ACL tear that probably stopped a move in the summer.

Exactly what it is. I expect TC will stay and we’ll be trying to get him on a long term deal ASAP.

However he will still go if the right amount comes in but I’d expect the “right amount” to be north of £5m. He is that important to how NJ wants us to play.

It’s exactly the same situation as the owners with the club. If someone wants to pay a premium, it will be entertained.

This all depends on other clubs and their requirements for a quick dynamic player like TC. I'd rather we keep him purely because he's the only one of him we have.

Very unprofessional and lazy comments - either he knows something and is saying it to be a bit naughty, or he's just bitter because they've lost and wants to excuse the loss, but given the gulf in the sides I don't see why he has to.

I mean he got that move pretty quickly tbh all things considered, it was like 6/7 months after the game  he was signed by Ipswich

Question it comes down to is TC good enough to be the difference between survival and relegation or sneaks you into playoffs. 

Personally I don’t think so, would love TC to extend and stay but we could definitely utilise the money we get for him instead of letting him walk for free + minimal compensation

I think yesterday gave an indication of what happens when you introduce better players to the squad. Chalobah's speed of thought and passing is a step up and players such as TC want the ball early and precise, Chalobah is able to provide that. Coventry, also benefited from that and that speed of thought by Chalobah gave the front three exactly what they wanted. As for TC leaving, it's his career and he needs to work out whether Charlton can provide what he wants, as for a fee, well, he is in the last year of his contract and the only way the fee gets inflated is if more than one club is interested, and it probably wouldn't be Preston, either a top club in this division or bottom half of the Premier.

Steve Cotterill said many millions and he seemed to believe it was TC and Carey as Godden won't be worth many millions at 35.

It's weird because if there was a 3.5 million bid from Preston for TC, I definitely think we should consider it but IF Tyreece could play with the fire in his belly from yesterday then obviously I want him to stay.

If Harry Clarke at 25 is a potential 3 million pound player for Stoke then Kayne Ramsay surely is worth 4 million at 25 ?

Despite his critics' on CL I think a goal scoring Championship attacking midfielder is worth even more but I really wouldn't want to lose Carey who I believe will score double figures this season if Chalobah and the new midfielder are prime and ready to impact the season.

I still believe Coventry can play apart.
I have always found Conor a difficult player to mark on the scores on the doors as you need to watch twice.  The 2nd time to see what he does off the ball.
This is how the analysts earn their money and Managers can either take that on board or go with their gut reaction. NJ loves TC so maybe this can be the 2nd championship season improvement where Tyreece show his mettle.
