Looks like he loves a dummy pass/shot, defence splitting pass and a cruyff turn.
I’m sure we can train all that out of him in short order.

What's the social media response from Kenya been like so far?
260 comments on Instagram post after 45 minutes. Way more than we usually get for posts.

Welcome Timothy, pity it's not a permanent move, if you're a hit, Slavia will be asking for a lot of money from us

Not sure it works like that. I'd have thought a price agreed if we choose to take it up.

Unspeakably excited about this purely because of YouTube compilations. Please don’t let me down Tim

I googled his surname and found out that 'Ouma' means "grandmother" in Afrikaans. Let's hope his legs are a little younger than that.

    Welcome Timothy!

If ever a person never suited his name this is it.
    The most unlooking Timothy ever.

Welcome to Charlton Timothy glad to have you on board
    What's that you're saying about Timothys , pal ?

Timothy James Fanackapan is a strapping 6ft 3inch young man , albeit not Kenyan, so I'll be calling our latest addition Timo.

Welcome to the madhouse !  Can't wait to see you on the pitch.

Club says we’ve been watching him for a long time so I don’t think there’s much doubt he can play a bit. Question is. Does he fit the Jones profile for buying into the journey.
I wouldn't believe everything the club says.

I'm as happy as anyone to get a signing through the door, but what is making everyone so revved up that this guy is the man to transform our midfield? Coventry, Doc, JRC get dogs abuse (justifiably so or otherwise), but they've had far more relevant Championship experience. I wouldn't say Ouma's career stats or previous club list make me convinced he's gonna tear it up in the Champ. Other reports suggest he's got poor punctuality and discipline issues to boot

Ofc we are shopping in a cheaper market and he has the age and hopefully potential to be a shrewd signing but I see this as being far more gamble than proven quality CM upgrade. I would massively be hoping there's another more creative, forward thinking, playmaker type midfielder being considered still

Not unjustified negativity, just applying some reality!! Hope the guy comes good and is a cut above for us

Are they? I just reread all the posts so far and I can't see that they are. I'm very hopeful he can help transform our fortunes in the centre of midfield, and he fits the profile for what we need.

But every signing is a risk.

The Wiki blurb on him seems to call him Babu which is one of his forenames.

Maybe it comes from the rumours thread which is a different animal but yea I’d say people are excited and happy with this. I think it’s at the stage where any CM signing would be celebrated!

TO looks as though he keeps passing and running forward towards the opposition’s goal. That’s no good and NJ will soon sort that out of his game! 🥸

Judging from the YouTube video, he is a big fan of the long diagonal punt over the top of the defense.  Can we change the official term to Ouma’s diagonal punt now that macca is no longer here

I assume overseas signings offer the best value currently in the over inflated transfer market.

I doubt it’s really no more a gamble than most of our signings.

Does it mean anyone is now leaving though?

I know it’s just YouTube clips but it’s noticeable that when he gets into a position to have a shot he mostly passes to a player better positioned than him. To me that shows a quick football brain. Like the look of him very much
