Clearly very good friends if they room together for Kenya. Positive signs

Option to make permanent is good, so if he's crap we're not stuck with him on a 3/4 year contract
and leaves us cash to spend now if we need!

We've heard from ElfsborgAddick and PragueAddick in this thread, but it'd be good to hear from @Nairobiaddick and @PoznanAddick.

Dare I say it but he reminds me of Patrick Viera!
You can say it but he has come to CAFC so every other scout from the top divisions in the Main European league didn't feel he was worth a punt.

I wish him well and hope he has gone under the radar of the myriad of scouts that know every player in every club in the top 2 divisions of the globe.

    That's an incredibly pessimistic viewpoint

It really isn't after speaking to different professional scouts and being told about the data bases that they use over the last few years.
The kinetic academy coaches who now work for Chelsea explained the competitive nature of getting deals done from low down in the pyramid to the Premier.
I have been checking every hour to see when this was finally going to go through and I'm pleased it's a done deal and it's probably best that it's a loan after some of the poor signings that we have given long contracts too. Kirk and Gassan to name just 2.

Having been on CL for 14 years I know that the very people getting excited with this signing will be the first to slag off if Timothy is off the pace or doesn't make the grade.

First signing this window that I have been willing them to announce. Absolutely nuts as a week ago Inhad never heard of him…..

On paper he is everything we have been missing in midfield for quite a while.

Really hope this turns out to be top notch papyrus and not Andrex

I'd like to see him play a part at some stage but don't think it will happen.

I'd expect it to be Chalobah and Coventry. He'll probably be on the bench.

If what you say is true... Why sign anyone?

I'm really excited about this one. Everyone looks brilliant on a YouTube compilation, but his skillset looks to be exactly what we've been lacking; comfortable on the half turn, can drive forward with the ball, and looks smart defensively.

We've either got the next Kante or the next El-Hadji Ba. Looking forward to seeing which one it'll be!

    Jambo Timothy, wakaribishwa Charlton yetu.

Love that we are getting a bit of a Kenyan connection going. Best mate is Kenyan. Had the best month of my life there in 2023 including being best man at his wedding! Fell in love with the country and the people.

Slightly surprised it's a loan, but the option to buy seems sensible.

Kenyans don't require a pre season, so doesn't matter 😂

Just as every other team other than Arsenal (with wengers knowledge of the French league) did when Vierra and Henry were signed

What it means is he'll be great this season, we'll sign him on a 5 year contract and he'll be crap after that

And not one of these scouts picked up on any of Cape Verde’s players

Just checking back in, great to get him in finally sounds like a good fit for our midfield, like the loan to buy, gives us a bit of security there if he doesn't adapt/ we break him.

    Welcome Titan Tim.

In theory, he should compliment Chalobah perfectly
“You are tremendously talented individual with beautiful poise and elegance”
Thank you AFKA. Either that or u think I’m suggesting Timothy is a brown noser 😂

    I'm liking -

I think we have a shot of staying up - I like it.

It has been sensible recruitment across the board - I think Jones' maniac wants to do more this year and prove himself further.

Onto Derby - who we will beat on Saturday

You have changed your tune after Timothy and Nathaniel have entered the building.
Your posts were desperate before they joined.

Good to see you happy and that we are going to beat Derby 😃

Excited by this signing, having said that like 99.99% of us I'd never heard of him a week ago but judging from his youtube vids he looks exactly what we need in midfield, strong, pushes forward, knocks some great long balls, always seems to be looking to bring teammates into play. Exactly what we need. Mind you the last player I thought was going to be a big player for us judging from you tube was Ronnie Schwartz, that worked out well.  :#
