The service you mention, 23.35 involves a change to bus replacement at Winchester and another change at Southampton.
Not an insurmountable problem, but without boring you with details I have had so many issues with South Western Railways recently that I don't want to have to rely on them anymore1 -

I can honestly say I don't know anyone who doesn’t buy tickets for actual Charlton fans though? How many cases are there going to be where someone with high loyalty points is buying a ticket for someone who isn't at least slightly dedicated? I would say not many. These conversations only pop up when it's a big club away, Wembley or a London fixture. The ticket system is fine for around 20 of 23 away games this season.
Blackburn away end holds 8000? Preston holds over 5k? We will do well to take a thousand. If we draw one of the big Manchester sides in the cup or Liverpool, or even Newcastle, suddenly the ticket system needs fixing.
If you want to make sure you attend every fancy tie, season ticket, 10+ away games a season or so? Job done.
Call it for what it is, there are some Charlton fans who only want to know about away days when it's a big club away. You never see these conversations when it is the smaller clubs. Sorry but it is true.
Also I will be fairly straight up about this. In a hypothetical scenario where let's say one fan is Valley gold, season ticket and has max away points, I think they've earned the right to pick whoever they want to come with them. If they have put more money into travelling all season, spending all their money on tickets and decide to being their partner or friend, so be it. I see no issue.
It only becomes an issue when we have an overwhelming demand for every fixture and are selling out everywhere. Then and only then should away sales become more stricter imo. I.e. you can buy a ticket for someone in phase 6 as long as you are in phase 1.
Right now, here is what is currently happening. People are dodging the less glamorous Charlton away days, leaving seats vacant and essentially not following the club (I know people will have their reasons, been there) but then when we get a game closer to home or a bigger club, the same people are interested suddenly. Said people would never have an issue if they followed Charlton no matter where or who we play.

Some good ideas mate but where does it end. I have been in valley gold since 1988. Travel about 180 miles round trip to see home games. Been St holder since 1998 and was one when I lived in Scotland.

That's odd that the most loyal supporters (as far as the points scheme goes) are given first dibs at tickets but aren't allowed the full choice of seats because they're only selling lower tier seats first and yet part-timers like myself can jump in tomorrow (hopefully) and dive straight into the second tier.llama_child_21cws said:About 1,000 tickets remaining and still 4 blocks in the middle tier to be released

I would say each of the middle tier blocks have about 250 seats in each. So around 2,000/2,100 tickets remaining is my guess.DOUCHER said:

Decided to get the 12.30 am coach. Will be home a silly o'clock.

No, because they have the rights to show the game but only show the one on Sky Sports Football. This is in France but on previous threads it's obvious that this is a problem elsewhere. If it wasn't on Sky + then it could be on Charlton TV.YTS1978 said:

When I go to Tottenham from Maidstone. I drive to ebbsfleet, train to St Pancras, tube to Seven Sisters and walk 30 mins to the ground. For a 8pm ko, I am home by the same route just after midnight.3
