Rodwell or you?Braziliance said:
It's almost like he is trying to be dislikeable on purpose.sammy391 said:
For someone who clearly loves a bit of attention, he’s hardly well versed and able to roll with the punchesCallumcafc said:Rodwell is such a blusterer. Never taken to him.
If this bloke can get a job at Charlton it gives me belief I can do anything. Terribly uncharismatic.

Rodwell has gone with the Brad Pitt look.

“Well, as I mentioned, we now have the link up with Garnier. Full range of men’s and women’s fructose-based hair care is available in-shop and online. So check that out if you’re dealing with unwanted frizz. You know, with climate change and all, it’s a bit of a problem these days. Now, also check the line of Carerra fashion sunglasses. Great deals this week. It’s a natural step for a club like this really, so we have big hopes.”
Will they be bringing watches in as well, there is a good demand for them.

An open meeting would be the best way to negate that, however the fella from Mod Mag's questions made the pair of them look perplexedElfsborgAddick said:cabbie8 said:Shame they don’t ask proper questions from proper fans appears it’s all scripted and preempted
IF this is the case, it is a shame as I imagine the answers would be very interesting when they have to respond immediately without knowing the question.
Do you know if this has been asked and whether they would be prepared to have such a meeting?

Rodwell is Grade A. Once rattled with questions about the club's spending, he spent the next 10 minutes making constant references to "when" NJ leaves, as all people leave in the end. Stroppy, rattled behavior.9

Yes it wasCallumcafc said:Rodwell says lease on the Valley was extended earlier this year and relationship with the landlord is good. Don’t remember that being announced.3 -

Well, that was worth the watch.
The later questions were mostly good and while the answers weren't always as clear or detailed as we may have wished there were some nuggets of info.
Cat 1 application is brilliant news, made my week.25 -

Only saw the last 25 minutes, but most of the answers seemed fair. There are lots of things which can't be revealed.
The bad debts answer from Gavin was nonsense though 🤣0 -
That question was answered by Carter back at the last meet the directors at the end of January and from my memory he said it was something they would considerElfsborgAddick said:shirty5 said:

I thought for the most part it was very positive. We are in good hands I think .3

Gorgeous Jim looked as resplendent as ever.Danepak said:Rodwell has gone with the Brad Pitt look.
His super yacht moored up at Woolwich Dockyard at a quartile to five, the bold and refreshing mist of Jo Malone’s Myrrh & Tonka Cologne rolling in from the Thames signified intent and ambition.A quick Q&A at The Valley, some fresh garlic prawn linguine washed down with a chilled Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc in the Trafalgar Tavern and The Groomfather will be back on his yacht to St Tropez before nightfall33 -
Just caught up with this.
Judging by some of the comments it seems some people must've preferred the Duchatelet style of updates and interviews.13 -
I just can't take to Rodwell. There's something a bit smarmy about how he comes across.11

Oh, I think that is a little unfair. Meire was very entertaining at times.

A lot to digest from that meeting but ultimately a lot of positives heard from it. Great effort in trying to summarise it @Callumcafc. Fair play to Charlotte and the MOD mag lad also, who clearly flustered Rodwell and Carter with the questions.7

Do you know if this has been asked and whether they would be prepared to have such a meeting? It is a shame they have not taken up the invitation. They are surely aware of the reputation and popularity with the Supporters Club and the meetings.Elliott should attend the next one then he can pass on his comments, even for him in an observing capacity.2 -

Tough to answer though, hardly going to say we have someone lined up.Callumcafc said:“What is the plan if Nathan Jones leaves” is a good question. Back to Rodwell saying a lot without saying a lot.5 -
Thanks very much for the updates, @Callumcafc and others. Greatly appreciated.

An interesting watch and very good news about the Academy’s Category 1 application.
I did, at the outset, ask on WhatsApp how many season tickets had been sold thus far but maybe it was usurped by issues around catering and smoking in the bogs. Perhaps a shade sensitive for the club, who also may be planning a future announcement.0 -

Looking at the timings, were these comments about the pre-season show on YouTube, rather than the "meet the Directors" thing?mart77 said:

In any case, is there a thread on the pre-season show that I've missed?1 -
The first question that was asked, about how can Charlton compete and survive in the Championship, was mine. So, they clearly did.cabbie8 said:Shame they don’t ask proper questions from proper fans appears it’s all scripted and preempted2 -
Issue has always been we need a heat pump for that…… there have been a couple of heat pump manufacturers keen on stadium partnerships which are part cash and part value in kind in the recent pastMarkg2004 said:THE BOILER MIGHT BE BEING ATTACHED!

I think Gavin missed the point regarding our Kenyan players. Think I read that around 70,000 Kenyans live in London. We should be tapping into that.4
