    Very good performance and so much more exciting than last season.

    Leaburn will cause more problems than Godden in this system of play.

    The level of boos at half time was embarrassing.

    TC outstanding. A really amazing first performance for trying out the new shape. Who cares about a 3-0 defeat to Reading now. Pre season is there for a reason!

    They score one so we score two! That's the way to approach home games. The addition of some quality in midfield looks to have given a new lease of life for TC AND Coventry who were both excellent. Substitutions were well timed and effective. Upwards and onwards.

    If, as it seems so, Campbell is better on the left, why not try starting Grant as a No. 10, instead of Carey or Knibbs. He only had about 15 minutes in the role after Carey was subbed and was probably tiring at that point.

    If we are still looking to bring in a strong RW, Jones is going to have a problem starting with both Grant and Campbell, as neither look as effective on the right.

    I thought we stuck at it after being outplayed in the first half. I thought Campbell was excellent and our most dangerous player. Grant was disappointing. The subs breathed some life into us. Leaburn roughed them up a bit and Alli on the right and Campbell on the left caused them some problems. Campbell also took his goal well. Koumetio looks a beast. Good start in a difficult game.

    Really interesting how we rotated our attacking players in the second half, with Karlan going to 10 for a period, followed by JRC. 

    It kept things fresh up front,  and gave the Derby defenders different problems. The odd thing about JRC is how little he was used in preseason,  yet came on today ahead of Knibbs. He looked effective today.

    Not a direct comparison of course but used to love the way Fergie did that for Utd with Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney.

    Massive come from behind victory and let's be honest, a deserved one at that. TC silencing the doubters. Coventry and Chalobah looking like an excellent midfield partnership. Coventry absolutely ran things in the first half. Grant showing quality. McNamara looked very solid. Great cameo from Miles. A win on opening day, what more can you ask for?

    A word for the first goal, in the build up TC challenges for the header that then deflects to Chalobah who redirects it so smoothly to Grant for the ball in. It's not one that will show up on the score sheet, but four players, including Jones, with massive roles to play in the build up and then the goal. TC didn't always have end product, but he works his bollocks off for the team and today he had that bit of quality. Over the moon for him. And Chalobah might be the best 1-2 touch player we've had since Diarra.

    At half time I said we were playing well and to keep the faith. We did. This is going to be a different team from last year. There will probably be more goals scored, but also more conceded. But today we were able to control the game for stretches, even if our goals came from a counter and a set piece. We had legs in the second half for those counters in part because we controlled the first half.

    Sign the contract TC. Become a legend.

    I'd say Ouma is an alternative to CC. Ramsay plays on the right, Koumetio the left. They are not rivals. RB is the position I had in mind. Kelman is not a wide player, he is a goal-scorer if he gets the ball on the ground. As good as Miles may have been today he has been inconsistent.

    I like the ruse of playing TC on the right then swapping him. I just think as RW he needs to get to the by-line for pull backs rather than cross from wide.

    He was great and positive in his passing. Still has a point to prove but looks more comfortable in this formation and hopefully he's even improved on the past few seasons.

    Obviously great to get a win, but I liked that it was a good game of football - pretty end-to-end and attacking, after a lot of hoofball last season.
