Considering this was a rush job after last Wednesday’s injuries, very happy with the quality of defender we’ve brought in at such short notice.

OS article says 6’ 4”. Either way another big unit at the back.

Great to see the club get this done so quickly.

  • While this is great news, I am wondering why he hasn’t been snapped up before this if he is as good as it appears?

Great signing.  Also good to see we have a backup plan if/when things go skew-whiff. All signs that we are actually being run as a business. Who'da thunk it?

Didn't think this would happen when I threw his name out there as someone I'd really like us to sign on Wednesday night. Will give us some serious setpiece threat if sides have to contend with him, Lloydy, Leaburn and Mesik.

Had a few rough games for Sheffield United but came really good at the end of the season.

Wouldn’t still be at Forest who were playing European football not long ago if that was the case IMO.

I guess this is a result of the club having a very detailed list of players we’re interested in and therefore being able to act quickly. I would imagine there were a few clubs that would have taken him so great business by Charlton. Straight into squad or even start midweek.

Only thing slightly weird is the fact that he agreed to come on the Thursday night, so I'm surprised we didn't get it done in time for him to be on the bench on Saturday

This is the time when you get decent loanees from the Prem, as they're now in a position where they know roughly what their squad looks like. Similar to us now loaning out Kanu and probably Docherty, no-ones signed them on a permanent and we don't need them, so Notts County will get lucky by loaning Kanu instead of having to buy him, and no doubt a decent league 1 side will benefit from waiting by getting Doc on loan too

He might have had a sleepless night with the prospect of facing Burgzorg!

Not sure when it happened but we appear to have turned into a normal club at some point. Decent signing this one. Welcome to The Valley.
Yes, something is going seriously wrong!!😂

I suggested / wanted him last summer window but was perhaps out of our league then.

Shows how far we’ve come since then to secure him. Watched him a lot at Reading in league one and he was a real standout.

Didn’t see much of him at Sheffield United but I’m confident he’s a Jones clone with better passing, so what is not to like.

Feeling really positive and just need that top tier RW signing to finish it off (whoever it is).

POTY at Reading & well thought of at Sheff U.

That's the sort of references that we're looking for.

Looking forward to seeing him play.

    Interesting read:

Seems he started off for Sheffield United looking a bit iffy, got dropped when they moved from a back 3 to a back 4, but then came back into the side and did well.
