After the performance Leaburn put in on Saturday, you don’t rest him. Yes he’s important right now and don’t want to lose him of course, but you focus on the next game and 100% Leaburn starts.
Two changes from Saturday, Chalobah rested to ensure he’s okay for Stoke as this one comes too soon for his quad to feel right. Bindon makes his debut ahead of Bell who also needs to be managed.
Expect Burke and Koumetio to be back/available soon but maybe not for another week.
Okonkwo
McNamara Jones Bindon Mesik
Coventry Mwamba
Grant Carey Campbell
Leaburn
Brooks, Laqeretabua, Bell, Ouma, Rakin-Costello, Knibbs, Alli, Tagoe, Mbick5 -
I think Leaburn will start because WB weakness is at the back and winning headers, hence they have been after a new CH this window.
I also think Campbell and Alli will have a lot of success, if Nathan sticks to two wingers.
A point will be a great result, but could we?1 -
This is the Championship, we absolutely could.Redrobo said:I think Leaburn will start because WB weakness is at the back and winning headers, hence they have been after a new CH this window.

I'm guessing we'll stay in the midlands after tonight with Stoke Saturday.0

Considering we only have 2 days between this and a midday kick off at Stoke, we will have to see rotation here without a doubt.
The obvious one for me is Bell..... expecting Bindon tonight, and then maybe Bell for Mesik on Saturday.
Likewise Mwamba tonight, and then potentially Skipp for Saturday.
Surely Leaburn cant do the lot, but Kelman is literally days away going from the last update..... maybe Mbick on Saturday at Stoke and Leaburn tonight?
Likewise, not sure Grant would be made to go 3 matches in a week.... so thinking we may see TC, Carey, Grant tonight, and TC, Carey, Alli on Saturday.4 -
I fancy us getting something at Stoke with the main men on. So I'd be happy to see some of them rested against the Baggies and aiming for a point.1

Grant to maintain the curse of the ex player this eve - surely…1

Last season red card suspensions went across both competitions, league and Carabao Cup. Imagine it’s the same, unless that rule has changed this summer but don’t remember reading anything about it changing.letthegoodtimesroll said:
Skipp presumably still has one more match of a 3 match ban to serve for getting sent off in Leicester’s game against Burton on Saturday 22 August. They had one game last Saturday and not including the cup match (or do they count ?) they played a second EFL game last night, which I’m assuming he was still a Leicester player and not a Charlton one and would have been eligible to play for them if he wasn’t banned. That leaves one more match to serve (if the Carabou cup match isn’t counted).SDAddick said:I think this is where our perfect record ends.
Will be interesting to see if Skipp gets done and gets in the team. I think he could be backup for Chalobah, but it's not a done deal yet and he won't have even had a training session with his new team so doubt he'll start. Disregard, he's suspended.
I think Mwamba comes into the team and Carey keeps his place with Chalobah being out. I think a game like this will require more defending, which Carey does well, and it will also provide some space for him to pick up the ball and drive into. I think Grant and TC start on the flanks, and swap at some point during the match.
Just checked and looks like the cup match doesn’t count. ** below

After all the Transfer excitement yesterday, I only just remembered we had a game tonight.0

We are staying at Mercure Hotel, West Bromwich, a 74 Bus away from the Hawthorns. Not a lot of people know that4

The team are not staying here. No Charlton Coach0

She's indifferent, just has a tendency to state the obvious where football is concerned.Sword65pf said:0 -

Is Chalobah there?0

Trying to use what I’m sure will be totally useless powers of deduction.PeakieRocket said:

But there looks to be at least 2 tall black guys with hoods up. I can already see Leaburn and Bell…. So one has to be Koumetio or Chalobah if the other is Knibbs….. too tall for TC and Grant is at the back.
Ready to be proven to be talking total bollocks0 -
