Welcome Skippy but juries out for me. It says his Valley debut could be next Wednesday, is that the case? Thought he had a three match suspension? Would Leicester’s game last night and ours tonight count as two of them? Would he have even have been eligible to play at WBA?

He looks a bit too much like an ugly Alan Campbell. Hope he’s fitter and a better footballer.

    Rodwell expresses no emotion Skipp-wise.

Come on, Jim.  Not even 'mildly gratified'?

Yes, he's got that 1950's/60's/70's footballer look about him, where most players in their 20's looked in their 40's.

Why does he pass comment on the signings anyway?

He was sent off against Burton on the 22nd.

He missed the game last weekend, tomorrow would be his 2nd match and Sat his 3rd.

But don't listen to me coz I speak bollox apparently.
  • I'd never heard of him until this afternoon, seem some of the gnashing of teeth on here but ultimately the guy played a lot of games for Spurs when they finished 5th in the PL and played almost all of Norwich Championship winning season.

Leicester fans will have hated him because of his price tag and what has happened to the club as a whole the last couple of years so I won't pay any need to their comments on him.

Good luck and welcome Oliver.  It's a position I hoped we would strengthen and he certainly has the pedigree.

This is an excellent signing and a significant upgrade - I watched him plenty when he was playing in Ange's Spurs side.

Rock solid - More strength in depth.

Man these owners are just legends!

I think we are going for it guys - I really do

Yeah, no one pay attention to this poster. He talks bollocks (but he cannot spell them). The actual situation is:

He was sent off against Burton on the 22nd.

He missed the game last weekend, tomorrow would be his 2nd match and Sat his 3rd.

... just kidding. Welcome to Oliver's Army.

Back to back relegations with Leicester and the last player we signed who got relegated two seasons on the spin was the wonderful Kaminsky .
this fella with the tough paper round can’t be as bad as that waste of time and money

The consecutive relegations have clearly aged him.

Perhaps like all those Kenyan distant runners who are supposedly 16, but look 30, he's been living at altitude. Wikipedia says he's lived most of his life in the little known Alpine resort resort of Hertford.

Bang on assessment. If he recaptures his best form then there is huge upside to this. But at the very least it's an experienced option in a position where we have a fair bit of uncertainty (fitness, age, adapting to the league). Do wonder where this leaves JRC - he's effectively 6th choice for 2 positions now...

JRC was never, ever going to be deployed in the double pivot by Jones, it's the Nkeng signing which jeopardises his minutes, not Skipp

Then double why is he still here? As he's less suited to a role further forward.
