Pitch is like an ice rink
  • Feels very much like a performance from last year.

Cant fault the commitment, organisation and defending at all.

But I just think we will eventually lose more matches than we will win when we lack so much control of a match.

Poor first half from Charlton. No attacking intent whatsoever. If we go a goal down, we won’t come back from it, IMO

    All good so far.
Spanners being beaten and we're holding our own.
Keep calm,  carry on and commit a robbery.

Do they hand out books to West Brom fans to read during the game or is the Hawthorns solely used by them to pay their last respects to loved ones?

    Missing Chalobah in CM.

Also seeing why Grant is maybe not suited to the 10 role in tough away games. Need an extra set of legs in there. He's working hard but it's not his game.

Cant keep letting them have the ball

I'll take that half. They've had all the ball but done nothing with it. When we've got near their box we've looked pretty good

Excellent half in terms of organisation. I do think the press is there but do we take the risk. Well done boys.

We are so well drilled -

Happy with that - we will get a chance as tired legs kick in.

    Supplerbly frustrating for WBA.

    Jones classic.

Turgid. However if we defend like that all season we ought to finish top half easily
  • HT 0-0, lots of possession from WBA, but to no avail, we have looked settled with whatever they try, looking forward to second half kicking towards travelling Addicks, and feel we will improve attacking wise then...

That was like some sort of mindfulness broadcast. A low hum of crowd noise and commentary. Nothing really happening. Just time going by.

That was a First Half of Football... Two teams at the top of the table, understandable that there are a few nerves creeping in at this stage of the season - West Brom remind me of Middlesbrough last season, a lot of possession, but nothing to show for it.
At the moment going to be a bit of a smash and grab if we get a win, just cant get hold of the ball
But we are dangerous on the counter with our pace
Was going to be happy Pre-Match if we come away with a point, and seen nothing to change my mind.
  • Bit worried about Alan in here he’s looked a bit naive at times

I think Knibbs could be good here if he can press them hard

We have pace in the side ,yet we just letting them keep ball ,need some attacking intent second half or we will lose

Another half of footy where the other team have 70%, we’ve not really had a sniff.

I do think Grant is better on the wing, could take Ali off and move him out give Carey or Knibbs a chance?

Half I suspect a neutral would find as dull as dishwater, but we’ve been largely disciplined.

Solid. Happy enough so far. Coventry having a decent game but missing Chalobah’s experience alongside him.

A huge difference to last year. We look comfortable and composed on the ball most of the time. Would like to see some more balls into Leaburn and TC. Coventry has tried a few. Chances will come.

Right on game plan for the first 45. It would be good to make more when we do have the ball, but overall very good. TC not really involved, and little support for Miles. Mamba doing OK, as is Bindon.

Bit of luck, we can stay unbeaten, even if we don't squeek a win.

    COYA!

  • Looks like going to plan first half..

Poor half, can’t get any rhythm going so many misplaced passes, Alli given then ball away loads, Bell to static at LB.
