I got pelters when I said on Wednesday, after we went behind, that we’ve frequently had good Augusts in this league, only to get found out and subsequently struggle from that point onwards.

Hopefully the people who replied to me are right and it’s just a blip.

  • Ouch.. not sure if anyone has asked, but when did we last overturn a 4-0 deficit?

Haha... Yeaa... Get Mbick and Mwamba on @ Half-Time, give them more minutes at this level
Chalk this one down as a bad day at the office and move on to Wednesday
Nah I wouldn’t throw youngsters into this, could be counterproductive for their development

Would love to be a fly on the wall in the dressing room at half time. Absolutely ridiculous performance, feels quite amusing timing that the moment we decide we've moved on past Doc we show a total lack of mentality in the very next game

    Think we need Doc back.
Genuinely would’ve been better on the ball than Ouma that half.

    Thats pretty scathing.

Jones has messed around with the team again and he’s deservedly been punished for it .
    Embarrassing

Sorry but nothing is sticking, they are all having a shocker, totally buckled, today is hopefully going to be an important lesson learned.

Masterclass from Jones with the complete change of midfield for this one.

Might as well send Ouma back now. Skipp not far behind him. These two were deemed better than Doc?

    Saving Campbell for Wednesday.

    Absolutely woeful across the pitch.

What did he actually give the pen for? No one around me seems to know.

Ouma and Stoke player hugging and tussling, Ouma ended up dumping the stoke boy to the ground and pen.

The sort of stuff you see all the time from corners and rarely see given.

Can Stoke declare at H/T and let us have a go?

No yellow for their striker taking out Jones. Ref is having a mare

Defence has been slow and lethargic, midfield not existent and our threat only came from Campbell

    25/26 season all over again!

Our RW solution has been binned off after already, and today’s team selection has been lambs to the slaughter for these lads

Unfortunately, there is (once again) a total lack of leadership in our team

This is literally the most unenjoyable half of football I can ever remember.

    Horrific on every level.

Just need a red card now

Ouma's performance is also showing the risks of scouting from abroad and throwing a player in the deep end. If they're not good enough, there can be dangerous in-game consequences!
Good point, but these are the risks we have to take if we’re to intelligently build a good squad.

Hylton (I think) nose to nose with Robins on touchline

I curse that striker - I wish him the worst of human experiences - for his entire people

  • The worrying part of this is that Stoke are not a good team right now.
We're making them look like world beaters.
Christ, what does that make us today!

Dont mind losing but that pen that never was changed the game .And to think he was a prem ref ridiculas
Whether or not it was a penalty, you can’t blame 4-0 on that decision. We should be better and not let that affect the entire half.

Massive wake up call that we have to compete at our very best every game, we can’t just turn up and expect to turn teams over. Midfield is still our biggest issue, not sure we’ve really sorted it.

My maternal grandfather would be better on the ball than Ouma, and he's been dead for over three decades now.

I understand the need to bring players to freshen up but best to keep a solid, winning team and do the odd change, not a massive overhaul.
