And he has given the ball away many times. Something a defensive mid cannot do without creating dangerRonnieMoore said:
Harsh .. lot of players out there that could have the finger pointed at them today Bindon for the third and AO expected a GK who dominates his area .. Ouma been unlucky never a pen and his pass out hit Grant and rebounded to their player .. that’s just unluckySouthbank said:Somebody should check we got the right Ouma and not his useless twin brother.1 -
JRC has played like he’s been on the piss all night1

10 changes at spurs = 5-1 loss 4 changes at stoke = 4-0 and counting wtf nathan !1

The stats are very even if you ignore the goals. Bizarre half of football and only adds to my theory that Jones has to think about staying away from it next time.4

Tough watch and a harsh reality check. Won’t be the last time this happens, just got to park it and move on. When you fly a bit too high, the landing is always harder.2
-
We’ve won 68% of aerial duels which, when you think about it, is what the game is really all about1
-
First question post game should simply be why were McNamara and Coventry sat on the bench at the start of the game.1

It’s bloody early September. It was the wrong decision and hasn’t worked. End of.fenaddick said:
The other end of that deal is you can’t moan when a player gets injured because they’ve been overplayed which happened to Bell and Coventry last seasonDamoNorthStand said:As long as we learn and stop wrapping them in cotton wall and making stupid numbers of changes again.
Momentum is everything in this league and this has just flat out not worked.
We cocked up team selection all ends up. Never again please
Happens sometimes but let’s not dress this up and something it isn’t.Can’t ever do this again.2 -
Even if it wasn’t a pen we’ve fallen apart afterwards. It went to Ouma’s head too, soon after at fault for the second. Some criticism of Lloyd Jones here as captain. He needed after the pen to have a quiet word with Ouma, tell him to keep his head up, forget it and get on with it. It worried me when he was made captain and asked what sort of captain he’d be he said he isn’t that vocal but leads by example. That’s why Doc WAS a great captain, he’d have been in Ouma’s ear encouraging him.5

I don't think we are as bad as the scoreline suggests.
Three of their goals are helped by a huge bit of luck. And any momentum and swings in tempo we have had have been hugely effected by the ref.
It's not a great performance but I think this is not a sign of things to come5 -
Someone on work experience by the sound of him.LargeAddick said:Anyone know who the co commentator is on Sky please?0 -
What must Carey and Knibbs be thinking ?mendonca said:Maybe JRC should have started in CM and Carey/Knibbs pressing in advanced midfield. Less risky perhaps but hindsight thinking.0 -
We absolutely have to avoid any sendings off.
Thats about all we have to play for at the moment.0 -

Good job Ouma is only a loan, looks very raw0

That's stoke all over - shit team - shit club - shit supporters - shit townSexyDave said:Chunes said:Bindon is escaping a lot of criticism. He's given up. Watched him barely track back into the box a full two yards behind the striker. Nowhere near his man for their goal either.
Watch it back, has his shirt pulled before the player runs past him....

Odd decision to start Ouma and Skipp alongside each other. Ouma's looked particularly lost. Just can't get my head around subbing Campbell unless you have no faith of recovering the game. The formation was much less of an issue than the players out there.
As for Binden, he's looked poor in both games now.
Cov for Ouma from the second half, hopefully we can win the second half, otherwise could be a very embarrassing day.0 -
Bizarre. Go and get some fresh airsam3110 said:

Don’t be daft. One was a penalty, one a header six yards out and one a deflection virtually on the line.sam3110 said:Also 4 shots on target for them, 4 nil up, you have to ask questions of Okonkwo when you see stats like that
Some of you properly fold in adversity.4 -

Pass out? He could have fired a cannonball at him and it would have been easier to deal withRonnieMoore said:

So funny that you’re desperate for Koumetio back when he got injured being overplayed at the same time as you’re arguing we shouldn’t rest playersDamoNorthStand said:

It wasn’t, we signed 3 CMs, promoted a 4th from the u21s and released our CM captain. Couldn’t have done much more in that position.Southbank said:
A lot of us thought that. I could not understand why all the focus was on getting a right winger, and we did not even do that.Nug said:Massive wake up call that we have to compete at our very best every game, we can’t just turn up and expect to turn teams over. We let the ref get into our heads .. he let Stoke players of with a couple of nasty challenges in the first 5 mins .. then the pen … did say beware of the ref had him to many times and he makes the game all about himself
but don’t get to high and don’t get to low … 1 defeat in 5 you would take that … let’s move on4
