I think the ref gave it, not the lino which is why it was such a frustrating decision. Once the ref gave it the lino put the flag up.soapboxsam said:I was sitting in the upper West nearly in line and had a great view unlike anyone in the NORTH stand where you just can't see offsides unless it is by many yards.
Grant couldn't go for the ball as he would've been offside so when Campbell was given offside, it was a case of the Ass ref not being able to distinguish between a black guy TC with dreadlocks and a mixed race man Karlan, with a cropped hair cut.7 -
I've seen some good highlight reels/vlogs on TikTok of late (yes, I feel too old saying that comfortably), but content is content. This lad has captured the penalty shout at the beginning and also most of our attempts.
Surprise surprise, he was impressed with our only real threat - TC.

We’re sixth so why am I going to moan. If someone told me we’d be in that position after seven games I’d have laughed. One loss. Surely it’s fantastic. Sorry I’m not convinced yet again. We’ve just had a transfer window and arguably for me the two most important areas to sign quality we didn’t. This team is crying out for a midfield playmaker yet we signed two more defensive midfielders and Ouma who is going to take time to settle. We are experiencing exactly the same problems we all wanted addressing from last season. Midfield, certainly without Chalobah is static and without creativity. My second big gripe is we still don’t have a striker who scores goals. Kelman is the only potential player who might fulfil that role. Just like last season we are unable to score. We concede possession in every game. Another thing that needed attention from last season. Sixth and two points off joint top. It’s obvious the potential is there but we’re shy of realising it because of the same issues we needed to address from last season.11

if you turn out to be right, then fine. But we absolutely should be able to decide for ourselves. We pay for this shit.Croydon said:

The reason we don't see it is because of the ridiculous Sky deal, which seems to mean that we are no longer allowed to produce our own highlights package and have to be content with theirs. Under the previous deal Curbs Brownie and Scotty would have been able to go through it in the studio straight after the game.
The deference towards Sky among English fans pisses me off. If the BBC had the deal Sky have and imposed the same draconian restrictions and attitude of "you watch what we decide to give you and no more" there would be masked-up Spanners throwing bricks at Broadcasting House.6 -
First 30 minutes best I've seen us play. Coventry bossed the game MOM. Definitely a penalty on Leaburn. I would like to see Ali miss from where I was sat it looked easier to score than miss. Ref was a bottle job should of booked there player for the grab. Roll on Cardiff away we just need to score. I think we will definitely stay up this season COYR2

So nobody is “picking” on you - they are responding to what are I think deliberately provocative, relentlessly nagative, narcissistic, and mostly incorrect posts, which seem to delight in any perceived mistakes and even dig out the team and manager when they have won and put in a good shift. If anyone has an agenda I think it’s you. You have deliberately and systematically cast yourself as a pantomime villain without any conspiracy from other posters. You post to provoke and it’s very clear you seem to enjoy mixing it and somehow enjoy others mostly negative responses, although how and why is beyond me. Trolls gotta troll I guess.golfaddick said:

I take it you didn’t see Skipps pass for the TC “offside” goal in the week then? Or Coventry opening up the space for a goal earlier in the season? I know you didn’t see any of the creative work they did today because you didn’t watch the match but still want to criticise them!golfaddick said:

No where in that post did I criticise either Coventry or Skipp. I merely pointed out that if you are going to play Chalobah then one of them has to drop out.
But you carry on with your agenda.
Perhaps we should all stop responding to you and you might stop.

I seem to recall Brownie saying that we had an option written in to the deal to make it permanent if we wanted to.Valley11 said:The difference having a quality keeper has made this week is two points rather than zero.
Parky looks on shaky ground at Wrexham and his £10m keeper hasn’t exactly had a great start. Some of their fans are already calling for AO to be recalled, and if they do end up changing manager, you’d imagine whoever comes in would want to take a look at Arthur in January.
If there’s any way we can sort a pre-contract with him now, I’d be all over it.
Like you, I think we should ASAP. The bloke never looks troubled and has a remarkable ability of being in the right place to make most of his saves look easy.
It was incredibly annoying when we were playing Wrexham, now it is fantastic to observe.9 -

There isn’t the interest , I think if you make it £20 the numbers wouldn’t be much greater, make it free and people still wouldn’t bother .superclive98 said:

Then the lino lost composure and put up his flag consecutively for 3 consecutive times for NO offences in the box. The ref got the decision wrong and this then impacted the lino performance.sirjohnhumphrey said:

Having only seen it on the Sky highlights package I would say it's a soft one. The defender had his eyes on the ball as it was coming down from a height & did not look at Leaburn.Algarveaddick said:Having only seen it at the match, it looked like as clear a penalty as you will ever see.
After the last three matches there's an awful lot of "evening itself out over the season" to come...
I say that as someone who detests VAR.
As I like to say.....if you were in a queue getting in a bus & someone did that to you would you fall flat on your face. The answer is no.4 -

Maybe its because I've been supporting this club for 50 years that I can remember the 80's & 90's where you were entertained & saw goalmouth action on s weekly basis.
I've been mulling things over during the night & I'm seriously thinking about packing it in. I love coming on here and reading opposing views & its amazing how people at the some match can see things entirely differently. But the grief I get from a great number of posts (and its usually from the same posters) just arent worth it anymore. I may stick around for the Cardiff game but I will take the 3 week "International break" as my cue to leave.

Disagree with that. There are plenty on here that have said that the pricing is influencing their decision whether to go to games or not and this site is only a small sample of the Charlton fanbase.oohaahmortimer said:

You also have to consider the occasional or floating supporters and potential future supporters. The pricing isn't going to encourage those people to attend. If we aren't encouraging future supporters then the attendances will only continue to dwindle.3 -
From the WSL....... I thought, and consensus was, it was a clear shove in the back on Miles. As teams left the pitch we were chatting about it......... and were all calling it an obvious penalty.Croydon said:

But then, looking back at QPR game, we remembered a similar shove that Grant (not totally sure if it was him) did on one of their players in our box during 2nd half....... which the ref didn't give either....... some you win I guess....

Also, no new injuries, despite having played on Wednesday evening.charlton_hero said:I didn't see the game today, I followed online, but a few positives spring to mind:- it's a point we didn't get last season- another clean sheet- Millwall got pumped and Palace lost at home to Ipswich- we're 6th in the league after 7 games with a bunch of first team players injuredWe need to start scoring more though, hopefully that will come as players come back / get fit.
I took a friend who by coincidence I also took to the same fixture last season, and he thought we looked better now.
Another 40 matches to go but a good start, and finally got through the fixture congestion.2 -
But the creative midfielder he wanted was clearly Holsgrove, who he tried for all summer. It wasn’t for a lack of trying. We’re much improved on last seasons dross but we’re missing that X factor (JRS may have provided)
There’s no real spark, proper graft , 100% effort and can’t knock them for trying .
We should stay up but just like this time last season I’ll be looking down not up because we offer limited goal threat.
I like Skipp and he has a touch of class about him .

0% 3-4
0.5% 5-6
1.5% 7-8
6% 9-12

It's going to take more than one window to evolve into a decent Championship side. Do we need achieve our full potential this season? I remember when all we wanted was to get out of that poxy league below. What do we want now... To quickly evolve into a potent attacking force. It's not a bad position to be in.13 -

I imagine Ouma was probably next on that list of players, and we know it took some time for that transfer to be sorted due to Visa issues.0
